The fact that they waited so long to go public, really has me curious also. Leads me to all kind of speculation. Was it political, did Disney try to keep it quiet, was there something in the victim's story that was questionable? Did they believe this was an isolated incidence, date rape?
Am I just mis-reading, or does it seem like the news outlets seem reluctant to officially call it a "rape case"? Things just aren't adding up for me.
I hope they catch the guy, but still, there are some unanswered questions.

"Our detectives worked this case vigorously until they felt they needed the public's help," sheriff's spokeswoman Jane Watrel said. "Sometimes they want to hold things close to the vest so they can proceed with the investigation."
Obviously, they'd rather not release info unless they have to. It's a very sensitive issue. Also, the moment a story releases, it's more likely that the guy will flee. You'd prefer to have him in custody before releasing info.
