Possible New Country at World Showcase

I agree that EPCOT needs a new pavillion, but I don't think there needs to be an E-ticket attraction with it. I've been to WDW 4 times and EPCOT has always been my favorite park to be in. It may not have my favorite attractions in it, but the atmosphere of it makes it special. It's a park that doesn't need thrill rides to be great. As for a new country, I think Egypt would make a great addition. It could be like Mexico as in it's an indoor pavilion. A pyramid as the centerpiece wouldn't be a good idea because it would too closely resemble Mexico. A replica of the Sphinx, however, would be perfect. As for an attraction there, I liked the idea about the boat ride down the Nile. But if the pavillion really need an e-ticket attraction, a motion simulator like body wars would be good. It wouldn't exactly be e-ticket class, but it would be good for the park. The ride could be based on a archeologic excavation of a tomb with mummies and such. But a boat ride would be more suitable.

Epcot already has its share of simulators...(I am including Mission: Space). Keep in mind the matterhorn was made in 1959. You know how loud Big Thunder Mountain is when you are on it, but I don't hear the attraction more than a couple hundred feet away. Keep this in mind, too...if you have a replica of Matterhorn with newer technology, you won't hear the cars. Secondly, it would be built behind an actual pavillion, so you wouldn't hear anything from the bottom half of the ride. As for the top...Matterhorn cars only reach like...85 feet. There is nothing for the top 60 feet or so. I think it's duable. I do agree, however, that something like the Tower of Terror with screams echoeing for like 1000 feet would take a lot away from World Showcase. Think of how far back Millennium Village was. Imagine putting the mountain that far back and having the actual Swiss pavillion right up against the main promenade. Add some strategically placed trees between the mountain and nearby countries and you won't even notice it's there.
