Exactly. It seems like it is plausible to do so based on the images. Keeps Impressions, better integrates the ride into the pavilion and maintains the in between expansion pad for future use.

Not to mention, putting it in the back would save costs in exterior themeing. I mean, the current facade in the France Pavilion is likely tall enough that it would hide all of (or at least most of) the show building they would build meaning the only exterior themeing they would need to add would be for the entrance. If you build anything in the expansion pad, then you need to deal with building an exterior facade to hide the show building. Would also probably significantly expedite construction to put it behind the pavilion (assuming that is both feasible and an option) given that you could potentially do a lot more work during the day and there would be much less work (again, with regards to exterior themeing).

Agreed, however, the current French pavilion would be pretty tight to handle the flow of traffic required for that attraction. They would have to keep the entrance away from Les Halles

The spot was intended for a second park. The Disney-MGM Studios Europe was announced in the early 90s.

Interesting.. I wonder if anyone has some concept art for the park.. I'm curious what the original vision for the park was and what we ended up getting. Parc Disneyland is so well done and so beautiful every corner you turn, but then that mess built next door just looks even worse after walking down that beautiful main street. The best one created, imo.

I've got a map at home. It would've been as big as Orlando. Second parking lot, the works.

This Bryan Jowers painting, also featured in new Disney Maps book, is the most expansive vision for Disney-MGM-Europe that I've seen:

The above has some similarities to this plan, which is not a whole lot more than WDSP park that was built:

It was always an appalling master plan. Difficult to believe Tom Morris was the man behind it.
