Possibilities of DLP Disney Dreams Show coming to US Parks???

Main gate is the entertainment offices located by Animal Kingdom just off of 192. It used to be a shopping mall of sorts. Wonderful place filled with so many past elements of Entertainment such as the old hunchback show, legend of the lion king puppets, and my personal favorite, the Tapestry of Dreams/Nations puppets.

I think I know that building.
Quite large. Kinda behind the Ihop and the building with the huge mermaid on the front?

It's not worth it. The decision has been made. Proposals to plus / expand all 3 main night time shows in Orlando have been scrapped.

And dare I say the Orlando show based on Dreams would have been even more impressive than the Paris version.

Annoying isn't it?

Annoying you ask ... frustrating and typical, I answer.

But being fanboi royalty :king: and all, I'll be checking it out shortly in Paris.

I heard that too! I'm glad I asked about TDL's 30th! Maybe Holmes put it off...

How many things do you think Steve can work on at one time?

Steve is an amazing talent. I honestly can't think of one project he has worked on that has been less than good (even things like DCA's Eureka parade that should never have been scrapped). Most things he's had a hand in are spectacular.

That's likely why TDO wants no part of him ... he does things right and spends to do so ... but he does have WDW's new parade (don't get excited, I've heard it may not debut until 10/13) in his portfolio.

~Snowglobe parade FOREVER!~

ALL 3?????
We heard the rumors about F! last year. We now know about MK’s project. What of ROE? The only thing I remember reading was that tag for Nightastic which never happened, and that was almost 2 years ago.

I have an interesting question: it sounds like this show was going to bigger than Wishes, was that show going to change the whole nighttime routine for MK? I think the nighttime parade/light and projection show/fireworks, sometimes another light and projection show/nighttime parade routine works for MK. It worked since 1977! I know Disney is known for taking risks, and they most of the time work out. However, DL kind of changed their routine in 1997 with Light Magic and they haven’t had a nighttime parade since. Just daytime parades under the lights. Which does work and looks good but still…..

I was watching a YouTube video of Wishes from MS this Morning and began wondering if this new show would have looked good from MS/TS? With all the buildings along the side?

ROE was supposed to get some new solid state lasers, but that got cancelled also because of money, they were too expensive and that was for the 2013/2014 budget.

ROE was heading for substantial infrastructure investment. As was the MK show. Same 9 or 10pm routine, with a heavily increased infrastructure. That's all I can say I'm afraid. Think what's involved with DLP Dreams and add even more to it.

EPCOT should gain those lasers as well... you know considering it's meant to represent the future and everything. I guess they just don't see that... GRRRR an update to all 3 would have been amazing!! So I'm guessing WoC for Animal Kingdom is way out of the question? :goodnevil

So highly disappointing.

Highly disappointing, but upsettingly predictable. Any one of those plans would have been too ambitious for the current management at WDW. Why work harder than you have to? As long as attendance remains steady (or goes up as it did last year), they will not make investments like this in the park or in entertainment. They have MANY other tricks (like room discounting, free dining, etc.) that they would rather use to bring in the crowds. These plans would have absolutely "wowed" me. And quite honestly, it has been a LONG time since Disney has exceeded expectations...Universal seems to be in that business now...

Well put.
