Port Orleans or Caribbean Beach?

I was thinking about taking advantage of the special (4 + 3) and I was looking at the more moderate priced resorts. I'm struggling between Port Orleans & Caribbean Beach. Which does everyone think is the better resort? I thought CB would be closer to Epcot than it is (still have to take the bus either way), but it seems like PO is pretty much just as close and is closer to DTD. I've personally seen PO and the landscape and such seems like it's very nice, haven't seen the rooms though. Anyone have some insight?

After looking at pricing, I didn't realize that March would be so expensive. I thought it'd be much cheaper than it was, so I'm going to have to back out :(. At least I get to go for two weeks in the summer thanks to the gf's family being DVC :). If I ever get to go for the Food & Wine Festival (which is when I'd rather go), then I'll definitely try to book at PO though. It sounds like it's really popular among these parts.

Which part of March? The new offer (buy 4 nights get 3 free) is good up to March 29, I believe.

In March a moderate priced room is about $250 a night, add in park tickets, flights, and four nights and it adds up. I'd try January, but when the 2nd part of your party is short on cash, has to work, and is highly involved in school plus has to take classes as well (college), there's no real time to go at that point. Spring break was the only chance and after that, well I'm going in July anyway.

CBR is directly south of World Showcase, but please note that it does cover a huge area of land, so it may depend on which island group area you stay at.

Port Orleans Riverside for me deffinently. Not just for the atmosphere, which I enjoy, but the proximety to Lake Beuna Vista Golf Course as well as the free Boat Service to Dowtown Disney. It's a fun time, I stayed at Carribean beach once as well, but would defffinently prefer POR.

THANK YOU for providing the Port Orleans link!! We have stayed there many times and love it there! We stayed at Parterre Place during our last visit (we prefer Magnolia Terrace) and we were pleasantly surprised that we "felt" we did not have to walk as far to Ol' Man Island and to the Main Lobby.
epcotWSC! here is the website www.portorleans.org! They have some info and www.disboards.com they have some info too! they can help you!
