I just read a post that the Port Orleans hotels do not have elevators. Is this true? Are people staying on the third levels really expected to haul their luggage up three flights of stairs?

Not true. We stayed in Oak Manor in June. They do have elevators. I had to use them.
They are in the hall behind the main stairway.

Good news! I panicked for a second! We are staying at POR in a Royal Room in a couple of months. And we are bringing a lot of stuff! HA!

POR does not have elevators and it is because their buildings are only two floors. Those with a handicap are put into 1st floor rooms.
POFQ has buildings with more floors and therefore elevators.

Woops! I meant to clarify between the two areas of POR not separate POR and POFQ. Ever have one of those days where your fingers don't type what you're thinking?
The ALLIGATOR BAYOU area has the 2 floor buildings.
Magnolia Bend has the elevators.

The mansions definitely have elevators because we too have needed to use them for my parents, although they may not be directly near your room.

The only Moderate level resort that does not have elevators is the Caribbean Beach Resort. As others have said Alligator Bayou at Port Orleans Riverside does not have elevators. I usually prefer the Mansion side anyhow in terms of theming and all of the buildings in POFQ have elevators. Have a terrific time!!! Marie
