Oh! There's also a little postal window near the security check back to the pier. Go there & buy Bahamian postage to send your postcards home from Castaway Cay. They'll be stamped CC! Very cool to do and makes a fantastic souvenir that doesn't cost much. The postal window will take USDs and, if you want, give you change in Bahsmian currency. There's some more cheap keepsakes for you!

Geez, everyone seems to hate Nassau. I have never been so is the beach at Atlantis decent at least?

We liked the beach a lot! On one trip we took a taxi to the public beach right next to Atlantis and had a great time.

I wouldn't say that I don't enjoy Nassau or Atlantis, infact I would recommend going to see it at least once it may end up being somewhere you'd like to go and stay sometime.

By all means, go once and check it out. This is like our 4th or 5th time there and we aren't big shoppers. That and if you just love the ship (we do), you get some not-so-packed time on it, so that's why we stay on-board now. Atlantis is cool but it's really just like a beachside Vegas themed casino, and if that appeals to you check it out also. Best place to go IMHO- Blue Lagoon and hang out with sea lions or dolphins. They have a nice, small beach there too!

We did the Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter on our cruise this past weekend. Found it very enjoyable, but if I had to do it again I would probably do the swim. If the water is on the cold side, they do offer wet suits, but they are not a good judge of size. I got stuffed into one that was too small. Also you are supposed to have access to the beach there after the encounter, however on the day we were there they were having a private concert on the beach and were offered a free box lunch instead. Not quite sure it was equal value, the food was ok, but I should have just eaten on the ship.
