Heyy guys,
My dad booked Port Oreleans River Side, but said that he can change it to Coronado if i desire.
Which do you prefer.
I've toured Coronado and loved it. I've also stayed in the French Quarter and of course loved it.
Is Riverside worth it??
Lots of Feedback would be wonderful.
Thankx, oxox

We stayed at POR last summer & we loved it!
The Coronado is a deluxe, but I have never been on the property.
I would probably opt for the deluxe since I have never stayed at one.
But, if you do decide to stay at PORS, I don't think you would be disappointed.
Hope this helps!
:D

Coronado isn't a deluxe, it's a moderate and a convention hotel. I like POR because they have a full service restaurant for breakfast and I can get my bannana stuffed french toast there. Also, the Coronado food court is very different than all the other food courts.

Actually, the Coronado is not a deluxe resort. It is a moderate resort like Riverside. If I had to choose, I would stay at POR - it is more centraly located and the boat ride to Downtown Disney is a nice alternative to the busses. Nothing wrong with Coronado though.

PORS is by far the best of the moderates. It is a little larger that FQ but still maintains a layout that is nowhere near as spread out as CB or CS. The food court has just been refurbed and the TS restaurant, Boatwright's, has one of the best breakfasts on property that being banana stuffed french toast.

I stayed at CS on my recent trip to WDW (1/10-1/17). The resort is HUGE - I suggest that if you stay at CS, book a room in the Cabanas which is close to the main building and transportation (although there are 4 different bus stops around the resort).

Although it was too cold to use it when I was there, the Mayan-themed swimming pool at CS is awesome. I liked the white sand beach and the hammocks around the Cabanas area.

That being said, I thought the room was quite generic - there weren't even fitted bed sheets available - I would wake up on top of the mattress every day (ugh!). This was my first time at a moderate though and I really had no basis for comparison.

Have fun! I would stay at CS again, although I'm booking POR on my next trip in 1/08.

Then, I would choose PORS.

We've stayed at all the Mod. resorts. If you plan on taking a laptop and connecting to the internet, then i would say CS is the best. It is the one resort that we didn't have to sit on the bed to get on the internet (the connection port is behind the table in the room).

P.S. the one thing that we noticed was that the busses weren't as full at CS since it's a "convention" resort. Alot of people staying there and going to their meetings instead of the parks,.

AHH, My favorite place ..Riverside, we've stayed there for the past 12 years( even back when it was dixie Landings) and loved it, We recently became DVC members of Saratoga Springs SO going to riverside is now out for us....But I'll miss it incredibly....Going there as often as we did you get to know the place like the back of your hand!!!! But anyway....beautiful grounds, great pools, nice outside bar, Muddy Rivers, Great full service restaurant , Boatwrights...Has great breakfast(great banana stuffed french toast, nice large dining hall and pizza delivery as well, great general store that sells souveneir (or however its spelt) stuff, things you might have forgotten at home, toothpaste and such, beer, wine..Also Bob The paino man in the lounge, on certain night is great , fun for the whole family....Arcade as well ..A boat that goes to and from Downtown Disney...Sorry to ramble on about Riverside...I just love this place....I don't think you 'd be disapointed...But Thats my 2 cents!!!!!

31 more days!!!!

I don't think that any hotels use fitted sheets anymore. We just stayed at the Yacht Club and there were no fitted sheets.
