Pop Century question..

We changed our reservations from POR to Pop to save a little money..Now I am second guessing my decision! We will be there 4/26-5/6. I called last night to try & tack on another night (4/25) but was told the resort was completely sold out:(. Now I remember that 4/25 is a grad night and I am worried that the resort is going to be full of unruly teens (yes, I know I sound like an old fart but we have been at the parks during grad nights and it has not been pleasant:fork:)..Does anyone have any experience with this? Is this a big resort for the grads to stay at?? Also, on a completely different subject, do you get the little bottles of shampoo at Pop? My kids love to collect these:D

Thanks!

We are staying there 4/27-4/30. We have stayed there before and loved it. I can't really tell about the Grad night crowds because I have never been there for that. But to answer your other qeustion yes they do have the shampoo and soaps there.

I think that you will be fine. Grad Nights go late in to the night. Most of the kids will just be going to bed when you are leaving in the morning.

That is part of what I am worried about..Are they going to be loud and obnoxious late into the night/early morning while we are trying to sleep??

Disney primarily puts large groups at the All-Stars first, since they have a group checkin facility there, overflow would go to Pop or PoR from what I recall.

I would be more concerned if I was at a monorail resort when a Grad Night is happening as the party at the MK lasts until 3 or 4 or so in the morning!

I dont think you will have much of a problem at pop, i found when i stayed at the all stars they were all there! As a teen myself at the time i even found them extremly annoying, they were swearing, loud, and making out on the busses. But generally at the hotel and in the parks i didnt really notice them that much as there is such a great number of people.
I agree with the other posters, grad nights goes late into the night so even if there are some at pop you wont have a problem at the hotel!

Grad Night 2007

My family went last year and stayed at Pop for the 1st time..and we were there for Grad Night. We had no problems at all with unruly teens either in the parks or at Pop. In fact, it was one of the best trips we have ever had at Disney.

Have fun!!

Sorry, I don't have any advise to offer. I have the same concerns. We will also be at the Pop from 4-25 to 5-4! Have a great trip!:sohappy:

You shouldn't have any problems on the actual night of Grad Nite. From what I remember, it starts somewhere around 7:00 p.m. and goes until like 5:00 a.m. or something like that so they shouldn't even be in the resort while you are trying to sleep.

The pop century gift shop and dining area is open form 6am to midnight. I hope this answers your question.

We stayed at Pop during Grad. nites in April 2007 and we honestly didn't notice a difference except with the food court in the morning and that was mostly cheerleaders from a competition.

We have stayed at POP the last 3 visits. We love it there. We rarely use the Food court though. We just grab an occasional snack, or milk for our in room cereal there, or a pizza once in a while.

Last year we stayed at Pop when Grad Night began. We were there the whole week and were leaving Saturday, with Grad Night starting Friday. We did not notice a change at all. We, of course, were at Mgm, Disney Studios, Hollywood Studios ( whatever it is being called now :lookaroun ). We didn't notice any change in crowd or noise level at the parks or hotel. We are traveling the same time this year and was able to get the preferred room and ADR we wanted. We'll be there April 12-19th :D!
