Pool hopping in July?

We'll be at BWV from 21-29July. We are aware of the restrictions at SAB and AKL, but will we be permitted to "pool hop" the at the Monorail resorts that time of year? We're going to have friends staying at GF and would like to spend an afternoon swimming with them. Thanks in advance.

Pool hopping is officially not permitted. The only place I have seen it enforced is Yacht and Beach Club (issue wrist bands).

I thought DVC'ers could hop at certain times and to certain pools?

Yes, you can pool hop. I think that it says that at high occupancy you are not allowed to pool hop. They will let you know in your perks guide what the dates that they are anticipating high occupancy when you get there.

I thought that, as DVC members, that it was one of our perks, except at SAB and AKL. The only other restriction was that during high occupancy, we were not permitted.

If this is true, has anyone ever "legally" pool hopped during the summer? I really don't like being sneaky. If it's permitted, then we'll do it. Thanks again

"Hopping" to select pools throughout the Walt Disney World Resort is among the many perks of Disney Vacation Club Membership.

Please remember that pool hopping isn't available at Uzima Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Due to expected high occupancy, pool hopping won't be available at any Resort Feb. 18-24, March 31-April 8, May 25-28, June 30-July 7, Aug. 31-Sept. 3 and Nov. 19-25, 2007; and Dec. 16, 2007-Jan. 2, 2008.

you'll be fine. We love going to the Polynesian, renting water mice (or whatever they're called these days) and having lunch at Kona Café. the pina coladas at the pool bar ain't bad either!!
