Pool Boys at AKL?

Well, they may be at the AKL but they sure aren't at the WL. But then again, I'd probably be looking for pool men, not pool boys. HA HA!

Seriously, I don't know why one would need to tip them. They won't accept a tip for handing you a towel.

Hmmm... don't know for sure, but the last time we stayed at AKL (2010), the lifeguard team has daily pool activities and games with the kids. They had the group of kids swimming for coins in the water--don't think it was 'dollars' though, but you never know with inflation.

I think she was kidding. There are no "pool boys" to speak of. No one to get you drinks and water and well, just look good in a swimming suit.

haha, probably we both turned 50 last year and for months before her bday hit she was whining how she still sees herself as a hottie at 25...which being her bff since we were 21, I told her, that is how I see her too!

Nope- I've never seen a "pool" boy, only lifeguards and guys who clean the pool. Perhaps it's the Cabana boys she's referring to?

I would wager she was just kidding around. I have never seen a pool boy at AKL. There are the lifeguards, and the activity coordinators/directors, and the bartenders, but thats about it. Maybe the room service staff that delivers the bento boxes to Kidani? I can't think of anything else.

The only "pool boys" that are at the pool at DAKL are the lifeguards and if the bartender at the pool bar happens to be male. Don't have any idea what they're talking about. Be interested to know though...

Well, at Stormalong Bay they have poolside servers. The awesome Miss Rocky as mentioned in my Sept 2011 trip report happens to be one of them. My brother said she was still there doing her thing as of this June. Woot! Love ya, Rocky-girl!!!

As for those "pool boys"...prob'ly thinkin' there's poolside service there. Believe me, there's many a joke about the cabana boys over on Disney Cruise Line's Castaway Cay. As if that place wasn't already heavenly enough....**sigh** It's 99.9% joking. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled in September just in case. LOL!
