LORD OMANYTE SHALL RISEIf only there were Aerodactyls in Dinoland...
Personally, I'd prefer Rustboro CityPlaying this game at the parks would be 100x better if they played the Goldenrod City music loop through the speakers around the parks.
It's taking over, people are going crazy!
Am I the only one who hopes that my kid doesn't hear about it?lol.
It's basically the closest thing we've got to the 90s childhood dream of "What if Pokemon were real and I could travel on my own quest to catch them all?". But you know, with connection issues out the wazoo and tons of battery drainage.I've heard about it and honestly have no idea what this is all about.
After reading this thread....I have even less idea? I guess I'm just a young old fart and don't see the attraction to chasing digital creatures on my phone around a real life theme park that I paid a bunch of money to get into.
But if it's your thing...then knock yourself out.

I think you have to have grown up playing it to fully understand why people are going mad for it. But its actually a really clever idea and I can see it being addictive for a newcomer as well. I agree that one should enjoy the parks but apart of me just wants to see what pokemons are lurking at the parks I seriously just want to catch a pokemon at the japan pavillion in Epcot...
I am curious.... will people get as ****ed off when somebody bumps into them while playing a game while walking through WDW as they do when someone with a ECV or stroller hits them?
Really, you are at WDW... enjoy the parks! Is everyone attention span that short that they need to do this while walking around the parks?
I feel the same way, plus it would have my battery dead by 10am. I think if we're (my husband and I) still playing it when we go in October, we might just break it out when we have free time between FPs or waiting for meals. I don't want to be walking around with my face in my phone though :/Am I the only one who has mixed feelings about using apps like this in the parks? I know the Pokemon Go app is really cool, and I have no issues with using it around my neighborhood, but when I'm on vacation, especially in Disney where I'm supposed to feel like I'm somewhere else, I don't like having to look at my phone all the time. When I lived in Orlando and went to the parks all the time I wouldn't mind this, but now that I'm only there now and then on vacation I wouldn't want to be glued to my phone... and I wouldn't want the people I'm with to be glued to their phones necessarily either.
Now I understand exactly why this was needed... http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions...devices-in-the-parks-with-fuelrod-kiosks.htm\

It isn't about attention span. People judge the stuffing out of me because I sit in the parks to read. I live here. It's extremely relaxing to find a good spot to read. I also fully intend to play this when I'm next in the park. It's fun. That doesn't mean that Disney is -not- fun. It means I have 365 day access to these parks but this game is new. Unless someone is on their phone during an attraction or performance, leave them alone and enjoy your vacation. I assure you, they're having a good time too.
