I presume it's a play on using "Con" for conventions, like "CoasterCon" and "ComiCon", etc.
It just works well as "CONgaloosh".
Sept 26th is booked, too, but I have absolutely no knowledge of that.... :lookaroun

Many of the Adventurers Club performers have said that they are taking private event bookings in the club until October 1, 2009, which I take to be a good sign. Some things I found interesting is the furniture from 8-Trax is currently on sale at Cast Connection. It is in pretty horrific shape though but while walking through PI on Saturday night, the 8-Trax entrance by the Waterfront had its blinking disco light effect going on under the awning. I haven't seen that working in a long time...and seeing throught he window the disco ball and the "Restrooms" sign is still intact.
I might not be the most vocal on these boards but I am keeping my vigil tight that we will soon see the opening of Pleasure Island and WHEN Kirk opens those library doors again the first round of Kungalooshes, Gypsy Moth's, Samantha's Passion Potions, Baldersmashes, Hoopla's and Bongo's Jungle Juices are on me!

The rumors ARE true, there IS a gathering planned at Downtown Disney featuring a VIP reception IN thee Adventurers Club. The Club IS reserved for a special party for our function on Friday September 25th. Details are still being hammered out and will be posted by the end of March at www.congaloosh.org.
The entire event is scheduled to take place at the Royal Plaza hotel in Downtown Disney September 25th 27th. This WILL include a VIP level party inside our beloved Adventurers Club. Prices and event schedules have not been set yet (pending what is set up with Disney regarding the club - number of characters, times, f/b etc). Yes there WILL be Adventurers characters at the VIP event.
Other activities planned include "An Adventurers Life is Best" Banquet, "Always Dress for the Hunt" ConGaloosh Competition, Panel Discussions and more. . .
Hotel registration details are already posted on the site and future detials will be added there as soon as they become available. info@congaloosh.org has been set up for anyone wanting to sign up for email updates.
The event is being planned by an all volunteer group of fans organized at the ConGaloosh Society Inc. which is a 501(c)(3) Florida Corporation. NO ONE is making any money (well except maybe Disney and the Hotel) on the event.
