Plus, i'd rather drive 20 minutes to PI and get in for free Sunday-Thursday instead of driving 3.5 hours to Miami, paying for gas, food and most likely a hotel.

You heard wrong because even though I'm not Cuban, that is a sweeping generalization. Yes guys try to pick you up, but that happens everywhere and with all nationalities.

Correct, and the smaller bridge that connected Westside to the parking lot (to bypass PI) is being removed entirely.

listen people if you really want a good adult party sceene, might I remind you that you are only about 3.5 hours in car or .75 hours in plane from this countries number one club/party/bar sceene Miami, FL so please feel free to drive down to South Beach and do all the crazy adult things your little heart desires. You poor little soul...who told you we would wanna pick you up...as a matter of fact I'm cuban...yet I have friends form all over (jamacian, hatian, dominican, puerto rican {which orlando has plenty and we're pretty much the same almost the same flag and everything}, Irish, Jewish, columbian (my wife), Nicaragua, venezuelen, italian) Yeah I could see you might not want to join our little melting pot. It's OK your more than welcome to leave the united states but if you insist we're gonna revoke your right to visit EPCOT anymore. Because obviously you haven't learned a thing. Plus as a DJ who has visited many other cities including orlando I have noticed that guys usually try to pick up girls most of the time. Its almost like a natural thing.....

But bringing this thread back on track....PI will be BETTER with these changes and I'm sure they'll bring in more money too. Disney has studied this, they just didn't wake up one day and said, "I think I'll wipe PI off the map for good...just because".

Ahh...maybe your right but it is a little fustrating ...anywayz yeah I think your right about the PI move and someone earlier said that there was a time PI was open so you could just stroll in and out as you pleased I think this was before the other side of DTD was built. But I welcome it I think it'll be fine....Plus how else will these kids ever become the "jack-" from pinochio :hammer: if we never let them come onto the PI....LOL J/K

What about some sort of compromise? Disney could offer a free or low priced drop-off play area for kids at the enterance of Pleasure Island so that kids could have fun there and the parents could play too. If is a free or cheap service it may encourage more parents to come (more $$$ for Disney in the long run) because it would be fun for everyone. Kids could play and parents could get a break.

Okay, I understand that my post sounded racist. First off, i'm not. Most of my friends are black, hispanic (Cuban, Puerto Rican, Columbian, Venzuelan etc.) My Latin American Humanities/Spanish Professor was Cuban. She even said that Miami isn't the best place to go. Plus, my sister has been down there too...and said it wasn't much to rave about. Okay so you have south beach and all the clubs, but how about focusing on my original point...i'm not going to drive 3.5 hours and spend money on gas, a hotel and food when I can just drive 20 minutes to PI. :hammer:

Listen Kat I'm pretty sure your not a racist, but what you said was ignorant and very sterotypical and I am pretty sure these are misconceptions you have that we all tend to have about different cultures and or races because of the way our society is structured. But what you should do is think before your speak (or type or whatever). I being a florida resident completely agree with you in driving 3.5 miles just to go party. But alot of the people that go to PI are from outside our state and sometimes even our country. The way I feel about it is if you want PI to be some adult blah blah, and your come from far anywayz you could reserve a couple of days a little further south its not such a big deal. Like I said if they want to do adult stuff. Secondly Miami is not all that I know I live here. But it is a major metropolitan area along with Ft. Lauderdale. And with a larger poplulation there are larger problems. Maybe your not that type of person you may enjoy a more rural area and thats why you like it were you live. That is perfectly understandable and reasonble, but that dosen't make it OK to be like Miami scummy and blah blah blah...Now this concludes our interuption back to our PI forum....:wave:
