So I noticed there are new (small) signs located at the entrance to WDW. Just before you go under the famous gateway welcoming you to the property, there are white flashing signs on either side of the road which read: "No Stopping".
Somebody please tell me that these new signs were placed here due to some sort of city mandate, hazard precaution measure, rather than being added because tourists had the intelligence levels which made them necessary. In other words, were people actually that stupid that they need to be told not to park/stop their vehicle along a busy freeway??
I have been visiting WDW since the early 1980's. We go approx 2-3 times per year. Not once have I seen someone stopping their car alongside the busy freeway to take pics of the WDW welcome gateway. Yet these new "No Stopping" signs suggest there has been a problem with this...a frequent problem.
For those of you who live closer to WDW, or frequent the place more often...tell me, what gives? Do tourists really stop alongside the road? I can understand if this was some small town, low-traffic street in which this would be considered safe. But the entrance to WDW?? That freeway is hectic even when people DO follow the rules.
Please tell me there was some other ordinance of something which caused these new signs to be added, and not the lack of common sense among fellow human beings.
