Oh Rob, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother! I know how it feels to have a grandparent have a stroke. It is one of the saddest things I have seen in my entire life. My thoughts are with you and your family right now and if you need to talk with someone who has gone through that ordeal, you can always PM me.

Hey ROB!

Best Wishes to your Grandmother for a quick recovery!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your family as you help Her through this difficult time.

Love is the best healer. Give her all you've got!

to the hospital today... doc says Grandma is not likely to regain full use of her right side, but will regain some with physical therapy. She's responsive, skintone is back... ish, and she watched TV. She didn't know what year it was, but she knew the date and where she was. She also remembered how to speak some English. So that's a start.

I'm going beddybye now

Rob, I'll continue my prayers for your grandmother...

My grandfather had a stroke some time ago, and he also lost full use of his left side I believe. He went through a lot of therapy for it, and today he's incredably healthy (except for his diabetes but that's something else). He's actually healthier than my grandmother, who's gone through so much in the past few years. I'm sure your grandmother will make it through this just like my grandfather did.

If you need someone to talk to or if you want the perspective of someone else who's gone through this, let me know

more good thoughts coming your way Rob!

my grandfather had a stroke and lost most of his right side, but through physical therapy he is now able to walk more and use his cane less. not to mention he taught himself to draw with his left hand.

wonderful things can happen...prayers for you and your family

Rob,
Still thinking about your grandma. More prayers headed her way. This report sounds like a good one (considering the circumstances), and I'm sure there will be more to come.

That sounds alot like what happened to my Oma when she had her stroke more than 10 years ago. Her right side was unable to move very well. She went through therapy to move it again but really never gave it her all, tell her to push her self in therapy and she will be able to use the right side a little better than my Oma.

I just wanted to bump this back up. Just got a phone call from Rob that his grandmother has had a second stroke.

Please pray for her and Rob's family in this sad time for them all yet again.

My dog has done the same before. They recommended feeding bread to the dog in order to cushion the stomach and intestine against any potential jagged pieces of bone and keep an eye on things for the next day or so. Make sure that there is no blood in the stools. If all goes well, then they should pass naturally. Everything worked out fine with my own pup, so they'll probably say something similar for Snowflake.
