just got back from the hospital, I'll be back there in the AM. Doctors were , don't like them... grandma was responsive and spoke with me... softly, buy still intelligible. Has some problems with her left hand, but otherwise ok. Her pigment is grey-ish.. kinda scary.

I'm sad... I shed tears tonight. I never cry... I'm depressed.

I love my grandma.

Thanks for your thoughts... I really do appreciate them and will read them after this ordeal comes to a close.
*hugs*
Good thoughts and lots of prayers for you this morning!

I'll tell you...its a very good sign that she can talk to you. Try to stay positive...especially around her hun.

Hey Rob, I'm sorry to hear she had a stroke, but if she was able to speak to you at all, that's a good sign. If you need anything, let me know. You have my number.

my thoughts and prayers as well rob.

long story turned short....... last june 5th, my M.I.L. (age 55) suffered a duel sided brain bleed (stroke) and she was vegetable status for 24 hours, we were going to turn off the vent and she had some movement in her hand............ come august we were in rehab at UAB. she couldnt do hardly anything in july and beginning of august............. then she started turning it around. she was released septemeber 7th. we moved in with her from sept to jan1 then she moved in with us until this passed easter.

she is now in assisted living. she will probably live there the rest of her days but she is happy and living independently again.

point of story: it took us 1.5 months to get any response, if she is responsive this early, that is a great sign. especially if she is speaking!!! thoughts and prayers rob.

95% of doctors have no kooth (sp?)! they forget to teach that at medical school.

Hey Rob! Thoughts and prayers coming your way from Virginia...

I hope that this will also be a time for you to spend time together, not just now but as she recovers also. That will mean the most!

Rob, my thoughts are with you....

I know how it feels having someone close to you in the hospital, and you and your grandmother will be in my thoughts.
