Cheap? obviously you've never priced puppets. Something of that quality ii can only assume cost more than your education.

Mecha is right. Those puppets are NOT cheap...I don't know the cost of the current ones, but I know for the previous show all of those puppets were well into the thousands. The whole cast combined excluding Bear would have probably cost as much as a very, very nice car (read: something like a Corvette or high end Mercedes).

Don't think anyone has said this but laughingplace.com now has a complete video of the new show and photos!

Thanks for the link - the new show looks great!!! My kids got excited watching the video, I can't wait for them to see it in person. I'm going to miss Bear but the new characters are great and a big hit with the young ones right now.

Let me just say this....my 20 month old LOVED it!!! That's what matters to me!

We arrived on 1/29 at 3:00pm just in time to see the parade...front row view at the end of the parade route. I had heard that the new Playhouse Disney show was to be opening in Feb, so I didn't really get my hopes up. After the parade, we headed towards the Animation area. Needless to say, I was ecstatic as we rounded the corner, and I saw that it WAS open!!! We ran up to discover that the last show was just about to start at 3:30pm. Grant it, my DH and I had never seen the old show, so we did not know what to expect. We sat down with my daughter, who didn't stay sitting for long. She was up and dancing for a good 10 minutes as she heard all the different Playhouse Disney music in the background. As the show started, she continued with "Mickey", "Toodles", "Where dog?" (looking for Pluto), "Darby", "Pooh", "bubbles" while dancing and pointing the entire time. Everyone around us got such a kick out of her. I personally enjoyed it...especially after seeing the joy it brought to her.

just thought you should know that the show has changed a small bit since you saw it. to solve the problem of children like yours asking where dog? the line about pluto helping goofy with the cake has been cut. but the bones in the cake still exists so it's sort of a hidden pluto.
