What are your plans for the 4th?

I'm going home to hopefully relax. Instead of only one day off, my professors are being nice and cancelling classes on Friday. :sohappy:

Maybe I won't have to go work on the farm. All the rain coming from Texas has hit the western part of the state meaning it's about time to start watering soybeans. :(

The only work I would be willing to do is our sweet corn that's ready. :sohappy:

I'm trying to arrange it to where I'll be at Magic Kingdom on the 4th, but if that's not possible (the majority of my large gathering group is trying to avoid the WDW crowds), we're going to go catch the fireworks show & party at the lake in St. Cloud...maybe Kissimmee. :brick: Oh, heck if I know. I just go where they tell me to. LOL All I know is, I'll see fireworks! :D

Our neighbors are having a block party...Turkey leg, I could use some of that sweet corn! ;) We'll be having our own "fireworks display". The children and I might run over to my mother's apt (she's still in the nursing/rehab center) Her 11th floor windows overlook downtown....incredible view of the fireworks....plus A/C, no bugs, and no crowds! ;)

I don't have definite plans, but I know that the day will consist of beer, hamburgers, beer, bratwurst and beer. Just went and got another bag of charcoal yesterday. :)

Then just wait for the 6th to get here, so I can watch the Pepsi 400 from Daytona.

We're having a BBQ!

Not a big one like we usually have...just a few very close friends. And then we'll walk down to the park to watch fireworks. You can see all the area "official" fireworks from there-- all the surrounding towns-- and of course there are always people setting off their own!

I met my husband on July 4th so it's kind of a special day for me.

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
My sister and her boyfriend are having a huge bash at my mothers house up in Wisconsin.

I asked her if they are doing fireworks....she said "oh yeah, we got the permits" I asked "permits?" She said "yeah, we got 140 arial displays (the big pretty ones in the sky the pros use)".

So its going to be a huge cookout (my moms house is on 7 acers of land)....so I am driving up there Thurs afternoon. Then I will vegatate the rest of the weekend....no thinking required:lol: ;)

Dogwood Dell

I will be going with friends from my church to a big park here in Richmond called Dogwood Dell, where everyone picnics and plays Frisbee or catch while the symphony plays patriotic music in an amphitheatre. It's cool. The fireworks start late in the show, when real cannons are shot by the Virginia National Guard near the end of the "1812 Overture."

It's fun, because everyone always forgets, and they scream and jump out of their seats when the cannons go off!

Well...... I´m not american, but I´m celebrating too!

I´m going to the theater for a concert of the "Binational Orchestra Mérida - Miami", an orchestra obviously formed with musicians from Miami and my city that gather very few times a year and play either there or here. Very cool, very nice! :)

I just got off the phone with nascar.com's store because I needed info on what to do to return a diecast I ordered, and we were fixing to hang up and she goes "Thank you for calling, and don't forget to watch the Pepsi 400 coming up on the 6th." I was just like, "Oh, don't worry about that at all." And she just started laughing and told me to have a great 4th of July.

Anyway....it was funny that she just started laughing.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled topic.

Yeah, I love the paint scheme...just wish it was any other driver running it.

I love Jr's All-Star car he's running. I like it alot better than last years.

I dont mind Gordon, I give him a lot of credit for all the heckling he puts up with...yet there really isn't a driver I do not like...I am a huge fan of the sport. I like Jr a whole bunch, he has machured a bunch is really a great driver.
