Well after some investigating, the Planet Hollywood website is booking reservations starting January 16th. I tried to book for April and it said they cant be made online. So I called the # and I was able to make the reservation over the phone directly with PH. I asked about an opening date, she said they didnt have one yet, but they are taking reservations starting for January 16th, and the hope is to be open in January.

Sorry to nitpick, but that gray dome is really ugly. I'd rather have the faded blue and stars back ;) LOL

I know it's not done, but will there be anything else done to the dome?

I actually prefer this as it blends in better with the look of what they are doing in DS. Now, having said that, IMO there are loads of minor finishing details that need to happen to make it look better. Up close it looks pretty rough at any of the locations where something is protruding from the dome. Also, all along the base of the dome where the fabric ends it isn't stretched very tight. I am hoping that something goes around the base to cover that up.

It's better than what was there, that was sarcasm that I want the faded blue and stars back. And I've seen it in person too. It just looks ugly to me. Oh well. Is what it is. I'm nitpicking but I don't love it, just my opinion, LOL.

And as I said, I'm sure it's not done.

That's what I was thinking, that they would have some light effects shining onto the dome. From the concept art it looks pretty lit up with colors. I know it's just concept art but maybe they will be true to it.

Sort of what I was thinking, if that tarp is not opaque there could be lighting elements under the tarp to illuminate from underneath.

Perhaps even the ability to change the color scheme for special days or continuously.

I'm sure they'll do something to pretty it up, especially at night. I probably jumped the gun in calling it ugly. So, I guess we'll see what it ends up being. I can see projections and a nice lighting package. At night it's going to be fine, no doubts there.
