Just saw this on Disneygeek's youtube page. But it looks as Disney Planes have taken over the pre show flying text for Soarin at DCA...Which get's me to thinking..If this is Epcot bound?

Not a huge deal, honestly. I would put it this way--it would not make Soarin' any more out of place in Future World than it already is.

They should just replace the queue "games" with interactive Planes characters, ala Turtle Talk / Monsters Inc. And actually give the guests who wait for hours in that forsaken queue something to see and do.
I liked the movie Planes, and I'm not offended by all the synergistic use of characters and the like, but this I don't like at all. Soarin' is a "real life" attraction, not an animated story. "Planes" is a world where people don't exist. Mixing them is...just off. Granted, it's in the pre-show, so it's not going to "ruin" the attraction or anything like that, but I really don't like it.
If they wanted "Planes" characters at DCA, put then in Carsland.

It feels...forced. Just because you CAN do it (which they've done) doesn't mean you SHOULD. Plus there's a terrible clash between the airy serenity of the Soarin' theme and the aggressive speed of the Planes animations -they just don't work well together.

But the average airport is a way more interesting place to wait than the Soarin queue.
At least they often have high school artwork.
Heck, Atlanta International has a pretty good collection of space exploration artifacts on loan from NASA.
Soarin' doesn't even have a Best Buy vending machine.
