At least this makes sense instead of Pizza Planet which never made any sense being there.

At least Mama Melrose isn't so out of place like Pizza Planet was across from the Muppets

I hope the pizza is improved. WDW quick serve pizza is so much bread. Redd Rockett's pizza at Disneyland isn't all that great either, but it's at least edible and resembles an actual slice of pizza and not just bread with a few accompaniments masquerading as toppings.

Remember the old adage that pizza is like .... an activity that I'll not mention here, in that even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. You have to actively work to make terrible pizza.

Low key glad that the menu will remain the same. I know plenty of people hate Disney Parks pizza, but it was always a guilty pleasure to me. I spent plenty of afternoons there during my college program eating my mediocre pie and relaxing. And as a Muppets fan, I'm looking forward to the new theming!
For the most part I hate WDW QS pizza and won't touch it. PP, on the other hand, was tolerable and was about the only QS in DHS that I would eat. If I was a gambling sort of person, and knowing how Disney has been doing things lately, I guessing it will be the exact same pizza in a re-themed restaurant.

If they do a Swedish Chef restaurant for Mama Melrose, it could be be y'know Swedish food.
Just like the current iteration of Akershus has "Norwegian" food... I think the best we could hope for is generic meatballs in a gravy that they pass off as "Swedish meatballs"...

Of course there was the "chicken and vegetables" pizza that I had at Tokyo DL. The veggies were green pepper, black olive, and corn niblets. The sauce was a fluorescent yellow curry sauce. Curry and mozzarella do NOT belong on the same dish...

Guys let's remember that TWDC is also the company that serves the great food at the QS Harambe Market, and The Colombia Harbor House. It doesn't have to be fancy to be good, it just can't be crap like standard theme park QS. I really am going to be optimistic so I think they'll at least slightly upgrade the pizza. I would hope that it would be at the Harambe Market level, nothing memorable, but you feel satisfied when it goes in your mouth. Just praying that it could be Like New York pizza:D

Since the cancellation of the show on ABC, and no new movie announced, just seems a bit off???

There was a gap of over ten years between Muppets From Space and 2011's Muppets, with no major TV presence (aside from the occasional TV special). They didn't gut Muppet-Vision.

More importantly, they needed to get rid of the Toy Story themed restaurant; it doesn't make sense if there's more Toy Story elsewhere.

Here's the weird thing....They don't count Muppets From Space as part of it...Even Bunsen Honeydew says " I don't mean to be a stickler but this is the seventh sequel to our original motion picture" in the Song "Were doing a sequel" Which means it goes in this order....
1) The Muppet Movie
2) The Great Muppet Caper
3) The Muppets Take Manhattan
4) Muppets Christmas Carol
5) Muppet Treasure Island
6) Disney's The Muppets
7) Disney's The Muppets Most Wanted

Oddly leaving out Muppets From Space..Or bascially stating...It Never existed.

Probably an oversight, or a difference in explanation.

Shame about the TV show. I've seen only portions of one episode, and I was pleased.
And I really think I would've enjoyed the premise, even before the rewrites. So ludicrous, so fun, so current, it would've seemed.

Also a shame because between the TV show (Hollywood/filming-atmosphere), and New York/Streets of America (Muppets Take Manhattan), the Christmas shop (Muppets Christmas Carol), and Star Wars next door (Muppets from Space), plus the potential for the restaurants to be themed after those from the series, Muppets Courtyard could've been/could be something special (it probably still will be, but the TV show would've helped push things). I'd like Muppet*Vision to stay *somewhat* the same, but it does need refurbished, and I wouldn't have minded some Up Late with Miss Piggy references. Maybe just a billboard, at least (which leaves me wondering if the current one will stay & move?)

But it's cancellation is no reason for Disney to kick the Muppets out. Like Star Wars, it's a successful franchise. It's not like Star Tours was going to be canned after the prequels, and didn't it's refurbishment come before the seventh film's announcement?
