Pixar Pals Parking Structure Specifics/Updates

I totally remember parking there back in the day. It was a very different world.

From what I've heard, all CMs get a small per diem on any day CM parking is redirected. The redirection is the consequence of an agreement with the city to provide convention center parking at Toy Story Lot on days when there are selected large conventions. I think it may be related to the temporary zoning variance that allows parking there.
lol no. No compensation whatsoever.

OK, I checked back with my source. They have definitely gotten a per diem for this and they checked and confirmed it was $3 per day. They had also discussed this with their union rep and it is an agreement with the unions. My source is someone who works under the Master Services Contract. What have you got?

They’re the only ones then.

Is it possible that maybe you're not aware that its on your check? It might not specifically state "Parking Per Diem" or "Parking Allowance". It might be listed as a code or bundled in with another line item on the check.

Thank you. I'm not saying this per diem is great compensation for adding 10 or 15 minutes each way to your daily commute. But it's there and my understanding is that it's set in the union contract. I'm open to rebuttal with specific facts. But it's got to be something better than "lol, no", or whatever.

They just may not be aware that it’s there and then just heard word of mouth that they don’t get it.

To be fair, I currently park in a different CM lot where we never get redirected. I used to park in KCML and was never compensated for having to be redirected to Angel Stadium. I am not union so I guess that's why? I don't know but $3 per day for all that hassle is kind of hilarious. CM parking is becoming a major issue, especially with recent and upcoming changes, that the company needs to resolve ASAP.

Was back on the IPW bus Saturday, so got a chance to take a couple of photos of the South West Corner of Magic Way and Disneyland Dr.

So the south end of the Pedestrian Bridge to the parking structures. Note, this will be 100% ramp, with no elevators or escalators.

The "only ones"? All those covered by Master Services? That's a majority of the resort! If you have proof that non-union employees don't get this per diem, put up or shut up. I don't make baseless claims here. I have too much at stake.
Put up or shut up? You’re stating information as if it’s a fact without any proof. Yet you want me to put up? I have as many connections as you do and can easily tell you this isn’t how it works for everyone. If you want to show some hard evidence to prove otherwise, please do so. Until then. No, this isn’t how it works for everyone. I can guarantee it doesn’t work that way for non union or foods. I don’t make “baseless” claims.

I don’t work at the resort, but I can promise you not everyone gets this per diem. It’s actually been a very sore spot for cast members how they have to park so far away and receive nothing.

Well as has been said it appears to apply to employees in the various unions. As such while yes there are those not in the unions that wouldn’t get it, the vast majority in the unions do get it.

So the point is just because the people you know aren’t getting it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. Lots of employees at the resort, not just the ones you know.

Not once did I state that nobody received this. Just was clearing up the fact that not every cast member does. As master services only covers about a third of the resort. No need to patronize.
