They could have just posted this, right?

LMAO Yep. My 11 and eight year-old nephews could have come up with something better than that.

I literally just stared at that comment. It was whack.

But again, any able adult who doesn't know the difference between a fact and an opinion cannot be taken seriously.

No, it's not the same. A show does not compare to a tune.

You can think what you want. I'm just not going to take your "opinion" seriously until you actually see the show. If someone had never visited Disneyland, but watched a video of a walk-through of the park and decided they didn't like it and said the park was boring, would you take their opinion seriously?
If you solely watch and grade a fireworks show on the soundtrack, you are doing it wrong. Also, what did you expect? It is Pixar show and was bound to feature Pixar music. Seems that no matter what, the show was pre-destined to be a disaster in your eyes.

The soundtrack is 70% of a firework show at Disneyland. Fireworks will always be fun and exciting, but the soundtrack is what makes it special. The soundtrack for Pixar Fest's show is, frankly, garbage. It has no flow or consistency. And I won't take this "Pixar has no music" nonsense. Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, and Coco all have music that would've been great for a high energy firework show yet they still blew it, especially with putting random dialogue from MU during the Monsters Inc. part.

Are you planning to answer my question?

Goodness gracious. I’m sorry I dragged myself into this in the first place. @raven24, shouldn’t it go without saying that these opinions are first impressions? And while I agree with you entirely that hasty, incendiary opinions based on YouTube videos are just about one of the silliest things we do here, it’s what we did with GOTG, Fantasmic 2.0, DLF, PTN, you name it. To our credit, after voicing our hasty and incendiary opinions, most of us went out and experienced those things for ourselves and, in some cases, admitted that our hasty and incendiary YouTube impressions were way off. I can’t speak for TROR or AJ-et-cetera, but I don’t expect anyone to take my immediate opinion too seriously. This is a fan forum, after all.

As for the rest of you with your name calling and the like, can you please chill? Is there a Mercury Gatorade going on in this sub forum lately?

Was just watching this one w/ views from Main St. Like so many things in life, I don't love it and I don't hate it. It's what I'd consider 'fine.' I do think having a Main St. view helps and adds a fair bit to the experience though based on this.

B-roll for Paint the Night at DCA came out! Looks like Frozen and the wave effect that was on top of Ariel’s float got cut (because of the trolly wires I assume?) Looks like the fairy dancers got cut too. No Incredibles float yet though

The projections are superior to Disneyland Forever. Fireworks look amazing. Crowd seems to be enjoying themselves. But the show has no flow. Really feels like a rough rough rough draft of the score. It doesn't have any emotional flow/blocking. It goes high energy, fun, sad, and back again and again. No intro our outro dialogue. Was really expecting a Happily Ever After heroes journey but told through pixar scores and character quotes, as they basically described it, but that isn't what happened. And with buzz going across right off the bat, it kind of reads like I missed the first 4 minutes somehow. This is reminding me of fantasy in the sky, or some sort of Transformers: The Ride in the sky. Everything and the kitchen sink from start to finish so you never have any idea where you are in the show. My ranking of Disneyland firework shows will probably go as follows: R...DCT, Together Forever, then Disneyland Forever at the end. I really hated that show tbh. Couldn't hold a candle to RDCT. At least this isn't trying to take over as the premiere castle firework show.

Sad for the Ariel float.

Incredibles won't join the parade until mid-June unless there's a scheduling miracle.

It's the forum fanboy reaction syndrome.

When something is announced - be confused
When concept art comes out - hate it
As it's being built - analyize it and hate it even more
When open - be there opening day and ride everything with long lines. Post favorable reviews
Lines settle down - still love it but some will revert to hate again and join the HOB

Does anyone else think its ridiculous that they would reopen it missing a float from it's first run? With a promised new float- 2 months from now?

Just seems kinda lazy on Disney's part.

They've always said the float is coming later to coincide with the movie.

It's cost savings. One less float to man and maintain. They probably used the missing float as the base for the new float.
