One question for us `non locals` - is the Length of Stay pass for resort guests still an option? I`ve not seen it mentioned, and its what we normally go for when at the Caribbean Beach. There is no way I am paying for two 15 day hoppers/premiums!

You can buy this one when in the UK still:
Disney's Ultimate Tickets - Exclusively for UK Guests!
Two tickets that provide unlimited admission to all the magic of Disney for 14 or 21 days! Disney's Ultimate Tickets provide unlimited admission to all four theme parks, Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, two themed water parks, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and other attractions including DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. Disney's Ultimate Tickets are valid for 14 or 21 days from first use based on duration of ticket purchased.

A 14 day is £156.00 for adults and a 21 day is £199.00 for adults (from the WaltDisneyTravelCompany)

(For comparison, the old UPH was £250, 10 day was £222, 7day PHP was £203)

I can't see any UPH replacement

No discount for going premium, they could have taken $10 off or something! I remember they used to scan everyone's finger prints a few years ago.I was wondering why they weren't doing it anymore, but I guess now they have it will stop people selling on tickets on eBay and such.

Oh, and with the premium, you get the water parks and such, but does that take up a day of your ticket ois that bonus? And how many visits? I c't readthe small print on the sign!
Here is a link to prices and features.

For 15 days you are at at the breakpoint of venturing into Annual Passes. Have you looked into it? :)

If you notice on the price signage the No Expire Option is not shown. Well actually judgeing from the photo it looks like it says that in the small print under the green box. This may get people mad it the don't relize that base tickets expire after 14 days and think that they are saving money by buying a 10 day ticket so they can go on two different trips or such.

Lines at MK are absolutely nuts today. When I was leaving at 10:30, after my haircut, all turnstiles were open and lines on both sides were backed up to security checkpoints.

If I am reading the question right Marni, the Length of Stay options when making hotel reservations for "Ultimate Park Hopper" (old term I know) still appears to be the same.

As Steve had suggested, for your lengths of stay, AP may be a cost effective option.

Like Attisb mentioned, I was looking for the No Expire Option and didn't see it. I will have to go back and look at the fine print or check out the disney site and see how they have it listed.

People couldn't figure out the "simple" system before, I can imagine the idiocy that the gate CM's will have to deal with now. At least they have Jan and Feb. to practice before the real onslaught.

I was going to mention this as well!
Sounds like you'll have to ask for NO EXPIRATION if you want it!

I have the info flyer about the New tickets from the Disney Store and there is no price listed for this feature, but strangely enough, it DOES mention at the bottom of the page:

" Theme Park tickets and options must be used within 14 days of first use unless the NO EXPIRATION OPTION is purchased at most Walt Disney World Resort ticket sales locations."

Thanks all for your replys. I had thought about an AP, but would that have the same benefits as the LOS we used to have when on property? It was great going anywhere at anytime (full days at the parks, park hopping, taking an hour out in the afternoon, nipping to AK for a few hours then to the Studios for Dinner & Fantasmic! etc.) - would an AP still allow us to do this?

If I recall, the resort ID was used for unlimited transportation, and the LOS for everything else. Am I right in that, and is it still the case?

Having said this, the 14 day ultimate looks too good to be true (SO much cheaper than the old LOS... who spilt the pixie dust on this one? :) )

Just to get it staright, if we stay at the CBR in June, our resort ID will get us transportation and a 14 day ultimate unlimited access to all the attractions in WDW (by all I mean as much as the old LOS), for less money?

Sorry to take your time up, but I`m getting a budget sorted out! If only The Walt Disney Travel Co still flew out of the UK (only did it once in 2001 - superb!)

So what does this mean for Fastpass? Because usually, we have one person go get the Fastpasses with everyone's tickets, because it didn't really matter whose was whose. Are the new tickets be distinguishable or do they all look the same?

And also, are the biometric readers strictly for the new Magic Your Way Tickets, or for older passes too? The signage implies that everyone has to put their fingers in it, not just those with new tickets or APs.

It should make no difference at the FastPass machines. They won't be scanning your fingers at them. They are just trying to prevent people from sharing tickets or selling them.

Package Confusion

In following up on the question put by Marni, I've gotten myself somewhat confused as well. In looking at the packages available on sight, it appears that the majority include the standard pass per length of stay, meaning one park per day. It was unclear on the site how these tickets in a package can be upgraded. There are still plans (silver, gold, platinum) that appear to use the old ticket format. Some others may as well. At least early on, I would suggest contacting a live person at Disney or someone like Pam at Kingdom Konsultants for the range of options.

A quick run through ticket prices with various options was interesting.

standard * park hopper * hopper + * no exp (with park hopper) *all
4day $185 * 220 * 265 * 235 * 280
6day 199 * 222 * 267 * 267 * 312
10 day 208 * 232 * 277 * 332 * 377

My digestion of that is if you are going to use the tickets during your single stay (don't need no expiration), there is almost no difference in price for length of stay 27.70 per day for a 10 day hopper plus vs. 139.75 for 1 day hopper plus (total of $ 137.25 for the additional 9 days)

The no expiration feature seems OK for shorter stays (difference of 15 dollars for a four day ticket) vs $100 for 10 days ($3.5 per day vs $10)

Ultimately, it's gonna be like trying to decide which mobile phone plan is best.... :(

Under the "old" pricing scheme, 8 days in the parks was the breakpoint for getting an AP - $52/day*8 days = $416, an AP cost about $403. Throw in the additional discounts and you could argue that an AP would be worth it for fewer days in the parks, if you were to take a second trip (or more) in your 1-year window and get rom discounts.

Any word on AP pricing, now that the new ticketing options are live?

Right, but if you mix up who's ticket is who's, you might have some problems getting back into the park.
