Does anyone know what LE stuff will be available on the release date? Lithographs, coins, action figures, or whatever? I'm going to go to the Disney store, dressed like Captain Jack, and pay with disney dollars.

I haven't heard about anything giong on in the Disney Store, but if you can make it to the World of Disney store (in WDW, Disneyland, or New York City) they'll be giving out a framed set that includes a lithograph, coin, and piece of mast from the Empress ship that was used during filming.

there should have been a disclaimer saying plot give aways listed here.
I haven't seen the movie myself as I was working alot and didnt get a chance to see it and was waiting to see it on dvd.Thankfully I decided to stop reading as I saw someone say something from the movie and just clicked reply.

Nothing involved with the plot line has been revealed so far. Just some ride references.

And if you're one of the first 700 at WDW, you get a mug and a watch.
I'm actually going to try to make it there, as we'll be on our trip then. I'll be wearing my WDWMagic shirt.:D

just got my pirates of the Caribbean worlds end ,through the post today I'm off to watch it and see what all the fuss was about! cant see any references on the extras to the parks though which is a shame, not even the premier, i like to look out for any park refences in films

There isn't anything from the premier on the second disk?!?!?!?!? My wife and I went, and I was really hoping there would be coverage on there... :(

There's some park references in the waterfall scene that are just ridiculous. When they head over the waterfall, listen to the dialogue that is there. It's from the ride, and it doesn't seem to fit at all.

Actually, for me, that dialogue marked the point where the movie turned for the worse. Disappointing finale to the trilogy.

Unfortunately, I couldn't agree more. I was at the premier, and when those lines of dialogue came across, I thought maybe they were just added in there for the premier only, since we were watching the movie right outside the ride entrance. Once I realized they must have MEANT to put them in there, I was pretty disappointed. I hate to say it, but I thought the movie went down from there as well.

If you're an AP holder (at either WDW or DL) you can order online and have it shipped to you:

Am I the only person alive who thought this movie was awful?

I suspect not. I've heard plenty of unflatterring comments about World's End, many of which came from my mouth.

I enjoyed watching it, mainly because I had enjoyed the previous movies and really wanted to see where the characters would go. The visuals were great as well. But the plotting....well, not good. The new characters weren't developed or used well, even Sao Feng. There were parts that made no sense (the dialogue at the waterfall, the fact that all of the other ships in the final battle apparently just wached the Pearl and the Dutchman fight, the fact that Davy Jones could conquer his inability to come ashore by standing in a bucket, Tia Dalma is a goddess who just falls to pieces and accomplishes nothing in doing so).

Also, the payoff of the questions raised in DMC wasn't good enough. We didn't find out how Barbossa was brought back (if Tia Dalma did it alone, why did she need a crew to get Jack back). We didn't see the Kraken get killed or find out how that was accomplished (are we meant to believe Davy Jones always had an easy way to kill it?). Norrington and Governer Swann's characters were simply disposed of.

I could go on, but won't. 4 stars for Black Pearl, 3.5 for Dead Man's Chest, 2 for At World's End. But I am hoping for a 4th movie, without Elizabeth and Legolas, featuring Barbossa and Sparrow continuing to spar and double-cross each other.

This was at least partially answered when Pintel and Ragetti asked that very question. Tia Dalma answered that Barbossa was merely dead, but Jack was held captive in Davy Jones' Locker and was beyond her reach. Not an in-depth answer, but there you go. :)

I think it fits. When they fall off the edge of the world, they enter a new plane of existance, marked with the spirit and actions of pirates of the past, hence their dialogue. They just happen to be from the ride. It culminates with "Dead Man Tell No Tales" because that is the whole point of Davy Jones locker: a pirate can't escape once he enters.

I think they made sense. Not every ship could have fought in that one Maelstrom, and didn't want to risk getting suckedi n there.

Davy Jones can't step on land. As long as he somehow stays in the water, he's okay.

Tia Dalma/Calypso didn't literally fall to pieces (the crab thing was for dramatic effect). She created the Maelstrom and hence helped both keep the other ships away (as stated above) and help sink the Flying Dutchman.

Tia Dalma raised Barbossa from the dead with her magic. However, Barbossa was not locked away in Davy Jones locker because Barbossa had no debt owed. Tia Dalma need the crew because a). as stated in the films They were destined to partake in the adventure (Will had a "touch of destiny") and b). Tia Dalma needed help in getting to Davy Jones locker because she didn't know where it was or how to get there, nor how to escape.

Davy Jones never wanted to kill his Kraken, but since Beckett controlled his heart, he was forced to kill it off because the Kraken was a means of Davy Jones being able to turn on Beckett, and since Beckett had control over the seas now, it was no longer needed.
