I hate her voice. The way she says “Yo ho!” is incredibly cheesy and annoying. And what accent is that supposed to be, exactly? Jesus.

I’d like to see a ride-through of the whole ride.

Just terrible voice acting. Sad to hear more Paul Frees gone. I know it takes some time usually to warm up to things we ve known for 50 years but this is just bad. The voice acting bothers me more than the whole chicken thing. Literally any one of us here can do that stereotypical Pirate voice from the new Auctioneer dialogue. And the Redhead like you say is super annoying in her delivery and over the top. What is that accent? She sounds like a an Irish Cowgirl. I feel like their are 1000 ways Disney could have done a better job here.

Why couldn’t they just make the scene PC in a clever way without making her annoying and swinging the pendulum entirely the other way. #girlpowarrrghhhh

What did we expect? This is modern Disney. They re selling Death Star balloons in Town Square.

Honestly, it's the wrong-era grandfather clock that bothers me the most, just like it does in the WDW version. At least we get the cave back.

I'm probably the only one here who thinks this, but I think the new scene is better than the original.

Well before even looking down I figured you’d at least have one supporter in Irish Guy. Sure enough, I was right.

Disney, TURN OFF HER AUDIO! I would be a lot more forgiving if they just turn it off. Or turn it down to the point where we can barely hear her. Haha.

She sounds like a cheap voice actor from Van Nuys who is happy for a gig and thinks they sound like an old timey English barmaid from a PBS costume drama they saw on TV once.

While I'm not going to comment just yet on the specifics of the change. You do know that not every pirate has the same specific stereotypical voice. For example there is a well known Irish lass who was a pirate who operated in the Caribbean, Anne Bonny. So it wouldn't surprise me if they used her as a basis for Redd.

I don’t see the logic. Male or female, there should be consistency.

They all sound the same because Disney had some sense at the time the attraction was built and so on, up until a specific point.
