Tom Hanks has been confirmed to star?

I wonder if Disney will allow him to utilize all of those missing children shoes, hats and gloves he tends to “spot” throughout his travels and put them on Geppetto’s puppets. You’ll be amazed how many single pairs of shoes and socks he finds throughout his marvelous adventures.

AND! It’ll help Disney save a couple bucks during these dire times. Anyways...

So...it looks like Disney chose to keep Pinocchio's original design for this unnecessary remake, whereas Figaro looks a bit more like a real kitten. Not a bad picture. But then, Beauty and the Beast's teaser looked good too. And we ended up with Beauty and the Goat-Man.

No doubt the scenes with Monstro will be even more terrifying (they scared the bejeezus out of me when I watched the movie as a kid), so some might see that as a plus, but I'm very much in doubt that Diz can top the dazzling 2-D animated beauty of the Blue Fairy's entrance and exit at Gepetto's. That still gives me chills. Nothing tops 2-D animated "Disney dust".

Well, they're gonna do what they're gonna do. *shrug*
