Pinnochio swears off burgers again!

If the thread of Pinnochio Village Haus not selling burgers is true I will be very upset. It is one of my favorite places to eat at the Magic Kingdom. However, it does state in the park guidemap that Italian specialties will be arriving soon. I can't believe they are substituting that for the famous Disney burger!!!!

What is this "famous Disney burger" of which you speak? The only burgers they serve at Pinnochio Village Haus include Geppetto's 1/2 pound Bacon Double Cheeseburger, Gideon's 1/4 Pound Cheeseburger and a Vegetarian Burger.

If they're doing a temp in-between menu during the switch-over, does this mean they've put up temp signs and menus? Anyone have a photo? Or mind taking one for me?

Hi there... been a lurker forever, decided to join today.

I have never eaten at Pinnochio, because I prefer Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bills.

However.... am I the only one who is very disappointed in the Noodle Station? I thought the food was TERRIBLE!!!!! At least prior to Noodles, I knew I could go get a tasty pizza there. I asked a CM at Noodle Station a few weeks back how business was, and they said it was very very slow. Hopefully, they will close that thing and come up with something else. It was a nice try for something "different", but the food... ICK. JMHO

By the way... has anyone been to the MK when El Pirata y El Perico was actually open? I've always wondered about that place, but it's never open when I go.

I thought the new Tomorrowland food was yuckey too. Lots of folks thought it was grand, but I thought it was poor quality - and for record, I like noodles and am not one of those burger-only people.

I think the reason Pinnochio's change was pushed back was because of uncertainty over Tomorrowland Terrace - it forced to revert back to it's old menu, then Pinnochio would have the indenticle menu. This newest change announcement wasn't made until the decision to just up and close Tomorrowland Terrace until further notice was made.

Whatever they do I hope they keep something kid friendly. We loe going there at least once and will wait to stalk out the perfect table so the kids can wave to those riding IASW (oh the things we parents do ) Now what would be really great (and make me a repeat customer for years to come) is if they would serve Toasted Ravioli (or raviohlah for those in my neck of the woods) its quick, easy and tastes awesome!think I know what we're havin for dinner tonight!

I'm all for diffrent foods in the park but the noodles were a miss.

I don't see why Village Haus can't have burgers and other more italian food items. People in theam parks all day like to eat hamburgers.

I am also interested in El Pirata y El Perico. Been by it a few times and always wanted to check it out. Anybody ever been in there?

I have. I absolutely loved it. They should keep it open all the time. The tacos are not exactly authentic (just your basic cheese, ground beef, lettuce and tomato) but I'm not really into different foods so it suited my tastes perfectly and were also kid friendly. Plus they were fairly affordable- two for like 4 or 5 bucks and a great change from burgers and hotdogs. They also have great taco salads and other offerings. I really don't get why this place is always closed.

I don't see how one can prefer the burger of one counter service restaurant anywhere in WDW over another. They all make the same burgers, chicken strips, french fries etc...

FYI for anyone who's thinking of raving about Pecos Bills topping bar...Cosmic Rays has the same set up!

Fogot to ask do you know if this is an overnight transition or will it be closed for a while?

The transition will take a while, but the restaurant will remain open (albeit with a limited "transition menu") during the change.

Right now the Haus is operating from 11 AM - 4 PM daily. The menu is basically chicken fingers, fries, and salads. I believe the transition will be done in early October, but I would have to check.

Definitely not. The food was disgusting and they realized it. They are now working on the third incarnation of the Noodle Station. The earliest it would reopen is Mid-September, but don't hold your breath.

That's horrible news! Especially considering the only places I ever get burgers are Beaches and Cream and Captain Cook's!

I like Italian food. This is a great change, considering I dislike all quick-service eating establishments in the Magic Kingdom (except dole whips from Aloha Isle). Not only that, the other two locations with Italian food (Alfredo's and Mama Melrose's) are sit-down. I'm so happy!
