I love Italian food. Every time I go to Disney I either eat at Pizzafari or Pizza Planet. Sometimes even both. Maybe they can include some type of Chicken Parm Sandwich. Now that is cool. :slurp: Who cares about loosing burgers and fries?? I sometimes am able to find two chairs when there are no tables left. I use one as a table one as a seat.:D

I also like Pizzafari, so I hope the pizza that they'll put in will be as decent as the one there.

I just hope they dont go totally cheap on us.... like the Chicken Parm Sandwich just being chicken strips with some marinara sauce on top of it!!! I just hope its tasty Italian food at a good price.

I'm still mourning the loss of the Philly sandwiches at Cosmic Rays, they didn't seem to last long. Or the fried chicken sandwiches they used to have Rays a few years ago.

I do like the idea of the Chicken Parm sandwich....mmmm...

I agree that there isn't much variation in the menu offerings at MK, especially in the off season when some close down. ( I don't think i've ever been when El Pirata y el Perico was open) Although, in my book, pizza isn't all that special or unique, but if it's not being served anywhere else, I guess they're filling a need.

But I'm not really lamenting the loss of a burger place. And as far as the Noodle station, it would help if it stayed open for more than a month at a time!:p

i have only seen pirata open once, and it was goooood it should be open year round.

wait why are they changing it to Itallian? Is Pinnochio Italian? I always thought he was German? He wears a German get up in the movie. Maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't seem to go. I guess Italian would be more profitable though.

It's not so much that Italian will be more profitable, but there are more dishes that can be adapted to a fast food restaurant. I'm not even sure what, if any, German dishes could be adapted, not to mention appeal to a large cross section of people.

Kind of off topic, but pizza at Pizzafari (sp?) seems different every year. On my first visit to AK in 2000, I remember it being great! When I was there July/Aug just recently it was still good, but lacking that "taste" I remember.

Since you only have two samples, it is likely you just caught them on an off day this year.

I should have been a little clearer, I have been there EVERY year since 2000 and the last time I had the pizza was a few weeks ago :)

I'm not saying it's horrible or anything, but even the pizza at the resorts is not as good.

The best pizza was at the Tommorowland Terrace (RIP), it was "softer" and similar to Pizza Hut (but good!).

So......the turn-around day was supposed to be yesterday. Does that mean it's currently closed or was it a one-day switchover?

Just wondering what it is now/this weekend. Any new signage? New menu? Name change? Etc.

A pile of fries topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce and tomato.:slurp: Hurry and get them while they last. It looks like I will miss them since I will not be there till Aug 24th.
I don't know, lettuce and tomatoes on fries, doesn't sound very appetizing to me!
