I don't know, lettuce and tomatoes on fries, doesn't sound very appetizing to me!
Heh - it sounds a heckuva lot better than "poutine"!!

Poutine is a Québec delicacy involving cheddar cheese curds and brown gravy smothering golden fries. Trust me - gross sounding but absolutely delicious! :slurp:

Topic? So upset I hadn't heard about Figaro Fries until now! :(

OMG!

Another poutine lover!

It is possibly the best thing to ever come out of Quebec!

I think they should use the old beavertail stand to sell poutine.

I think Pinocchio is Austrian. Hence the german dress but Italian names...

I for one used to like the pizza at Plaza Pavilion and I also like the Pizzafari pizza. As someone said, like Pizza Hut, but softer. However, I am a big fan of the pickles on the toppings bar and they will be sorely missed.

I would be all for a german theme though, bring on the saurkraut and spear ribs, hot dogs, brat, MMMMMMMMM...

Poutine is a way of life here! It's really the only good hangover food...

And I have always thought that it should at least be added in some kind of modified way to Le Cellier's menu. It's way more "canadian" than some of the stuff on that menu!

Either that, or they should bring back a counter service option to Canada and bring in Beaver Tails, poutine and "Canadian" (i.e. Tim Hortons) coffee!

Topic?

Kellydisney - they have the same pickles over at Pecos Bill and at Cosmic Ray's.

You can even get poutine at McDonalds. I do not think there is a restaurant that doesn't serve that instant heart attack even Poulet Frit Kentucky (SP). They are good!!

Mc D's poutine in Upstate NY??? No way!! And you got the spelling right on PFK, by the way ;) (for those of you wondering what that is - it's Kentucky Fried Chicken in Québec!)

I had actually forgotten about McD's poutine (more like blocked it out)... They could TOTALLY sell it at the Refreshment port right beside the Canadian Pavillion!

Maybe they should have a fries around the world stand and sell Figaro Fries there too! :)

No no Mc D's in Quebec. I have spent quite a bit of time in Canada scuba diving the St Lawrence seaway from Lake Ontario North and East to Rimouski.

OMG I absolutely love poutine (to the detriment of my diet and excercise plan). New York Fries makes it the best though (McDonalds tasted like tomtato juice to me). I never knew that it was strictly Canadian until my most recent trip to WDW when I couldn't find it anywhere. They should definately open a counter service in Canada to sell it. If they did it right it could be extremely popular.:slurp:

According to the most recent All Ears(R) Weekly Newsletter;

--Pinocchio Village Haus is supposed to start its
long-anticipated menu changeover this week, but it will take a
few weeks to introduce the whole menu. The new menu is supposed
to include Cheese Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Veggie Pizza, a Panini
sandwich, the same salad they have now and the Figaro Fries.
Kids' menu will be supposedly have mac and cheese and chicken
fingers.

Bleck. So much for actual Italian type foods. Just pizza? Guess I won't be eating there anymore. The pizza that was at the Terrace was awful before.

Colour me disappointed that the menu is Italian-as-pizza and nothing more. While I'm happy that I will be able to try Figaro Fries (WDW Poutine!), I was kind of hoping that they would have some pasta selections in there.

I'm also sad there is no pasta. It would have been a nice change from all the burgers, hot dogs and chicken fingers. I need variety but the counter service options seem to be increasingly sparse. All the restaurents that do offer something different are closed 95% of the time.
