at a really cool store in orlando called mouse surplus where they sell a lot of random disney stuff...old signage, retired furniture from the resorts, old merchandise...they also have a lot of cool stuff like the wax walt, the bus from the movie speed, old ride cars and monorails, and other random stuff in a huge warehouse

Can anyone go to mousesurplus? I've heard it mentioned many a time but don't know much about it. Does it have specific opening times, and is it easy to find?

yes anyone can go there. i forget what their hours are, but it's only like 15-20 mins from the downtown disney area, if i remember correctly. their website's www.mousesurplus.com so you could get the address and hours and stuff there

I've also heard there's another new place opening soon in Orlando called Surplus Kingdom.

I thought it was Big Al, but thank you for the photo. It answers a questions someone else asked me on a different thread if it was Al. Now I have to figure out who it was. Do you have any other photos of bears?

And before you get your hopes up...think Training day...out for a quick trial.

Speaking of Florida ... For those of you who still mourning the closure of the old Mouse Surplus warehouse that used to be out on Tradeport Avenue in Orlando, have I got some great news for you ! The new owner of this great Disneyana collectibles outlet has finally located a new building.
Mind you, this new version of Mouse Surplus isn't officially supposed to open 'til May. But tomorrow, 150 lucky Disneyana fans will have the chance to tour this new facility as well as purchase furniture from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, signs, snowglobes and other sundry items. Of course, in order to get into this special event, you're going to need a ticket. Which you can acquire by going here.

Maybe it isn't open yet, but I imagine if they had a 'preview' weekend in March, that it would now be open.
