DisneyAnole...I think what adds to the blandness of the new scene is that occupies so much space. The original FOUR scenes each offered something different and unique. The network operations center itself had interesting communications data screens, interesting sounds and dialogue.
Then they took all of that away and replaced it with that one scene of the boy and girl using the videophone. I remember seeing it in 1996 and it was very cool....but by 2006...how outdated!
While the Imagineers have finally utilized the entire show room space again...they have taken one scene and occupied three former scenes....(boy using computer at home...woman in office...woman at operations console) and have left only the Woz/Steve Jobs man working on a computer in his garage where the old network operations center used to be AKA the japenese girl's home and neon globe sets from 1994.
