News Pickeball comes to Walt Disney World

My money my life but if the pickle ball courts are reported to be open 24/7 I'm calling after 10pm when we are asleep after a long day in the parks if there is a noise issue.

I rarely ever see Guests play tennis or pickleball at the Resorts. Lol
After the alligator killed the 2 year old guest on the beach at the Grand Floridian beach all waterways had signage installed warning about gators and snakes. For many years prior there were alligator warning signs next to the empty tennis courts / retention ponds at AK Lodge.

Now all my concerns about wdw can be put to rest.Pickleball is now available at several of WDW tennis courts including Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village, and Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Complimentary equipment is available at each court.

Same as playing golf at WDW.Pickleball is what you do at home when you can't afford to go on a Disney vacation. Do you really want to pay thousands of dollars to go to Disney and play pickleball?

Not really the same because every golf course is different. Pickleball is the same everywhere.
That said, the golf courses at WDW aren't anything special.
I'm surprised in the past , WDW hosted a PGA tour event.

Most PGA Tour events aren't played on great courses (not that they're played on bad courses), believe it or not. The four majors are, but most of the regular PGA event venues aren't among the best courses in their state, much less the country.

Flipping through the cable channels now there is MLP, Major League Pickleball. Who knows, WDW may cash in on this and have a professional event with paying guests to see this very popular sport.Pickleball is what you do at home when you can't afford to go on a Disney vacation. I don’t believe the pickleball and tennis courts aren’t in use because of the gator kill, but rather the decreasing physicality of the average American. In contrast, my dad and I do travel to WDW and enjoy the recreation options that are available. Not everyone who goes to Disney spends their days in lines. Others enjoy their Resort offerings as well. And the added pickleball lines were great to see.

That's an assumption why tennis courts are not much in use. I was advising AK Lodge decided pro actively to warn guests of gators thru signage next to tennis courts years before the little boy gator attack at the Grand Floridian . The tennis courts at WDW have been there for many years. Even 30 years ago I hardly saw any guests play tennis .
