Ugh don't remind me, the one in AK had me bang a gong when i got one for my girlfriend... Then the entire park was looking at me. Well it turns out i banged the gong too early so i had to do it again... I wanted to leave so badly.

I got the pearls a couple of times... just be aware they will assume you will want to mount it so let them know right off that you don't (if you really dont) I once got a half inch blue pearl from one of those and I got a pinkish smaller one that I did put in with a diamond setting (I got it a few years ago in the animal kingdom but I don't think they have a cart there anymore) I though they had a location in TL too but I haven't been there in like 2 years

It's at the Mitsukoshi Department store in Japan. I think when we went in December the price was $15 for a pearl. My son loves all things Japanese so we really checked out the store and he was facinated by this.

This sounds like something totally up my alley for our upcoming anniversary trip. Yay! I knew about the pearls but have never done it. I've seen the spot in Japan a few times but it's usually totally mobbed with people. If there's other locations I may check those out instead. :animwink:

I wanted a pair of earrings for my DW. So I bought two oysters. Of course, the chances of having matching pearls are small, so they keep a small stock of pearls behind the counter, and will match either of your pearls, and you can trade.
