Looks a lot better than when I saw this in February:

Wow, look great, a lot of really nice details. I love the sign that has the show times on it, a really authentic looking detail.

We will be in The World on Thursday and will be at DAK one day. I can't wait to see this as I enjoy when WDW does something well. The theming in the above photos amazes me. :)

That is really quite excellent. Fits right into the existing Harambe.

@wdwmagic I noticed a brown construction wall at the far end by the restrooms. I take it the rumored exit path/bridge to Discovery Island is not yet complete?

I miss the tropical setting of the previous location but this really looks like it was built with, and has the same detail of, the rest of Harambe.

The works beyond the restroom look like the return path are indeed not yet completed. I'd imagine it will be soon given the increase in the bridge walls height.

What would be there? Just a route to get to Discovery Island?

Anyway, looks fantastic and is a great addition to Africa. So glad to see FOTLK in an appropriate place with a wonderful looking venue. However, like FLE, it feels like they are spending a ton of time and money on theming and not enough on "substance". Having a second attraction in this area would have been great to entertain guests as they work to extend the hours and make DAK a "full day park" in the near future.

I thought that route was supposed to go to Avatarland?

Yes, certainly, but Martin said it would be completed "soon" -- and I wouldn't consider connecting the path to Pandora in 2017 "soon". So, I was wondering if that dead end will lead to something in the near future.

I assumed it would be an alternative exit route for theatre guests when Harambe was busy.

Why else would they raise the walls on the bridge to hide Avland work?

Gotcha. But would it lead to the existing "backstage" bridge to Discovery Island or would they build a new pathway from the bathrooms to somewhere? I guess we will see. I think they will rapidly find that the crowd movement when FOTLK lets out will be problematic with the current one pathway in and out setup.

Martin, if I'm not mistaken, that backstage bridge has always had high walls on it. Since you could see it from the river boats (and possibly *just* from Africa or the CMM bridge) they needed to be able to hide service trucks heading to Discovery Island, or perhaps ambulances heading to First Aid.

If they intend to bring that bridge on-stage, I'd think they'd remove the walls to give views from the bridge rather than leave them.
