PHOTOS - Monorail Black receiving a wrap for Iron Man 3?

Regarding the monorail wrap, it's not like it says "See Iron Man 3 starring Robert Downey Junior in theaters May 3." It says "Stark Industries." It's still in-story. It's still the "transportation of the future," it just happened to be invented by Tony Stark. Also it looks way more interesting than a white train with a black stripe. The casual guests love these things. Just listen to the comments the next time the Iron Man train picks you up at the TTC.

It says "Iron Man 3 May 23" in giant letters on car 4. That's far from being in-story, IMO.

You expect it to not have the movie premiere date on it? Tim was obviously referring to the fact unlike an actual movie poster it doesn't say: ROBERT DOWNEY, JR. DON CHEADLE and GWYNETH PALTROW star in IRON MAN 3. It's as in story as you're going to get while still accomplishing it's purpose - promoting the film.

No, he said it was still in story and instead of saying the name of the film and the release date that it just said Stark Industries. I was simply pointing out that it was not the case. He was right about the wrap not mentioning RDJ though...

I'm not a fan of these wraps. However, I wouldn't mind them as much if they wouldn't be on so long, after the film release. This one says, "May 3". It'll be on all of 2013!

Just another CARS-ified monorail to add to my collection! You can see my others in the Monorail Pics thread. I hand draw them.

HOWEVER, speaking of creativity, I'm hoping that I can be more creative in my drawing than this! I like it though, he's flying. It looks cool to me, but I"m not a fan of full body wraps.

Can anyone elaborate for me, what am I seeing along the skirt? Is that like... Fire smoke (yellow orange smoke) or is it something else? Iron Man and Iron Patriot cast shadows on it. At first I thought it was more gold to match the theme, but it looks cloudy-ish...

So next time you see Monorail Coral, you will notice as it goes by that there are at least 3 different shades of Coral from the previous paint job that was never correct to begin with. That and the deltas (white breaks in the stripe) are inconsistently stenciled out. It's actually borderline sloppy. Like I said, RIP respect for the WDW Monorail fleet.

I wonder if they've ever considered wrapping the monorails with the original paint scheme full time. Which takes longer, a quality paint job, or a wrap...

That's not a bad idea... a full body wrap of the uniform design... It'd be MUCH more consistent and whatnot... However, last I heard, at least 5 of the 12 had already received FULL BODY repaints... However, I'd love to see a new paint scheme on the trains... I had posted a picture somewhere of my idea...

The trains need a little bit of love though... AND STAHP DOIN FULL BODY WRAPS!! Ergh.
