A picture is worth a 1000 words, but video usually does the trick. I suggest you mute the video, and pause at around 5m00s
Based on that video. I think they should consider renaming Cinderella Castle the Figment Fort.

Based on @tirian's photo they should consider renaming it to Lotso's LoftBased on that video. I think they should consider renaming Cinderella Castle the Figment Fort.

Is this today, and one on both sides of the castle?
Reality doesn’t matter; the point is that the media shot is ugly. The fact that it's been used repeatedly for websites and publications doesn't make it more (or less) accurate.

I also wish they'd stay truer to the concept art, but the sunburnt color in your picture is not how it looks like irl.
Looks like Christmas special taping is going to happen soon.
Is that during operating hours?!Is this today, and one on both sides of the castle?
Yes just now. It’s two separate stage areas in front. I don’t think I saw anything in the back when I walked by there earlier. Is this today, and one on both sides of the castle?

I understand that people could see some resemblance, but I'm old enough to be this guy's dad ( )I did this, too! Did NOT want to offend!

And worse than it could look. It's overcast which definitely has an effect, but it certainly looks better in that video than it does in some photos (like the one posted earlier).
The problem is that it still looks pretty bad in that video and significantly worse than it did before.
It’s not just that they’re not hitting home runs. So much is simple stuff that is taught in design schools. And worse than it could look.
I'm starting to notice that Disney's track record of great work and sometimes work against them when they do goofy stuff (no pun intended) like this. We know what they're capable of, and this ain't it.
Video (especially cheap phone video) doesn't have an inherently better color coding than still pictures, sad to say. Thanks! I did what you recommended, and I think it does give a good idea of what the castle might look like IRL.
Exactly. The AP photo might not be absolutely perfect, but it’s a professional guy who shot and edited it at a skill level much higher than most people.Video (especially cheap phone video) doesn't have an inherently better color coding than still pictures, sad to say.
D’oh! Foiled again!!Video (especially cheap phone video) doesn't have an inherently better color coding than still pictures, sad to say.
Wear sunglasses, that blue hits like a laser beam.D’oh! Foiled again!!
Alright. I give up then. I have no idea what the castle actually looks like at this point (but I do know that the old color was better). I will make a trip to WDW as soon as possible to confirm my bias.
Until then, I will continue to consider all photos and video of the castle as merely a vague representation of what the castle truly looks like and will not trust in them to inform my well-formed opinion in any way.
