News PHOTOS - Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom to receive enhancements this summer

Looking at Twitter, I don't see any cranes today. Maybe there not working since ths is the last day(We get the normal view of the castle all day? Maybe even pyro for MRFF???)


CAN'T BELIEVE I TYPED THIS IS THE LAST DAY!!!!!!!!!! For the record, I get what Disney's doing I just never dreamed it would come to THIS!!!!

I'm sorry but the Sleeping Beauty color scheme does not work on our castle at all. Why do they all have to look the same?

The pink looks odd, but the concept art seemed to imply it would be shiny/more detailed so let’s wait and see how it turns out.

The new blue looks fantastic though.

Me neither. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but I wish they weren't doing this. I love that castle as is.

The castle was faded. It needed a paint job. I like the Royal Blue. I'm waiting to see how the rest shakes out. lol.

I have noticed with most Imagineering projects you don't get the full effect until the day it is completed.

For example, the new Club 33 at the MK wasn't looking that good IMO until the day it opened. These projects often seem to magically transform over the evening before they open. It is pretty amazing usually.

Yep, it is rare they get it wrong when they have creative control and no sponsors involved. IMO.

I agree with you on the dark blue, I think it looks great. The rest I wish they would leave alone. If the finished product looks anything like the concept art that much gold is going to look very tacky.

Maybe everyone has the day off to rest and take care of needed chores before all behind the scenes projects commence again. With everyone working daylight shifts. Would make sense. I think we will get pics of the MK from the monorail and contemporary tomorrow to see if they keep working.

Thanks, did not know that! So maybe pyro for MRFF today???? Or is that cut completely till the Castle is done? HEA has not had any changes and I don't expect any tonight! Who knows what the Castle, MRFF and HEA will look like when we come back!!!
