Sorry to disagree again, but I thoroughly enjoy the absense of a compulsory 'exit though the giftshop'. I prefer to enjoy my Disney experiences best without being shoved the shirt and the doll in my face immediately afterwards.

I'm sure the concept is succesful, but I feel forced. Which actually makes me agressive towards your ware, determined not to buy anything simply to resist the in-your-face of this kind of agressive marketing.

Forced exits-through-the-giftshop only started in the Eisner era. I would be happy for Disney to do away with it again. Maybe the FLE is a bit more subtle about its merchandising. Which would be great!

This is an enormous mistake from a merchandising standpoint. The reason the old tent was so successful was because you were walking through before and after seeing the characters.

It'll be interesting to see how much sales fall in the new tent as compared to the old one. I wouldn't be surprised to see them redesign this in the future.

It is surprising that they didn't do this especially since they build a new connection between the new tents. Guess it's just being used by CMs and not the public.

I personally don't like it either, but from a business persepctive I can't argue with it. For every person who is turned off by it like you, there are probably a 100 more that will not feel that way and actually buy something.

I can understand the resistance to it, but it also allows the visitor to see ride or attraction exclusive merchandise that they may not see otherwise if they just visit one shop on Main Street.

Besides, this is a business. We all have to come to the realization that the parks only exist to make money.

I fall into your later group. I want to be angry at the blatent play for my money. I see the absolute grab directly at my wallet when they do the exit into the gift shop. I get mad, I get frustrated, I... wait, is that a retro Donald Duck t-shirt over there, I wonder if they have my size?

Is the band organ functional? ....couldn't really tell during Pete's "barker" routine, but did notice some band organ music from the inside tour. As a band organ fan, I'm hoping that the one at the entrance isn't just for decor, but an actual functioning unit.
