good luck, but i doubt Disney will change anything just because a bunch of people on forums say that they should.

Trust me, many people that would support a cause like this are not members of this specific forum.

Good Luck, but remember one thing they can never get rid of the true star figment. GOD BLESS FIGMENT. I'll help as much I can.

This is the very definition of wasted time and effort.

Agreed... not to disuade you from showing energy and passion around something you feel strongly about, but what is your ultimate goal? How many people do you expect to write/sign/etc.? Is 5,000 reasonable? 10,000? 50,000?

Even if you get 100,000 people to join your cause I don't see how this impact TWDC in anyway. 100,000 people would be less than 1% of Epcot's total attendance in any given year, and I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) but Epcot's attendance has increased since Dreamfinder was removed (I know A does not lead to B...). I don't see the ultimate compelling reason for the company to take action to please a tiny percentage of their consumer base. I enjoyed Crystal Pepsi, but I doubt that is coming back anytime soon either...

Again, I admire your tenacity and enthusiasm, I just feel it's misplaced.

Forget the nay-sayers.

Follow your heart !

Remember, people told Walt Disney that his ideas wouldn't work.

I originally thought this was a no chance thing but I was just Screamscape.com and they're actually advertising it. I see how determined you actually are and I think you're handling this great so far.

Personally whether this works or not is not the main issue to me. I think the fact that you are trying to do something about is! Good Luck! Imagine if no one ever tried? Nothing would ever get done. Good Luck Again!

I think it is a great and I am here to help. I can only wish there is some way to share the original with newcommers and the people who miss the classic Dream Finde alike. I will do what I can. A group of people got figment back imagine what a larger group could do!

Generally speaking, if companies pay attention to this kind of effort its because the 100,000 signatories are considered a representative sample of the total customer base. Their logic would be, "Well, 100,000 people signed this petition...we know only 2% of the general population ever take the time to tell us what they really feel (by doing things like signing petitions), so this 100,000 might indicate a lot more people out there who think the same way as the actual petition signatories."

Disney is doing its own, ongoing market research on people's preferences (how many of you have signed up for the research panel?) and would put more stock in that than the results of this petition. However, it may be enough to make them take a closer look at the research results they already have.

I wonder what would have happened if the Internet was around when Walt ditched the chuckwagon rides or bumper cars at DL?

This is a great point made, our goal is for them to reassess what they have and show them that the better alternative is to bring back old symbols, such as the Dreamfinder and Figment.

Incredible news everyone!!!!! I have just recieved an email from

David K. Thompson

Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel

and Corporate Secretary

The Walt Disney Company

It seems like Disney will actually listen! Here is his response:

Dear Adam:

Thank you for your recent email addressed to Judy Estrin, which she has forwarded to me. We appreciate your having taken the time to share your views with us.

As I'm sure you know, The Walt Disney Company attaches great importance to maintaining high standards of quality and creativity at all of our theme parks and resorts, including Epcot. In light of your concerns, I have forwarded your email to the appropriate offices at Walt Disney World for their review and any appropriate action.

Thank you again for your email.

Very truly yours,

David Thompson
