My phone was out of battery, but I had taken with me a 3D digital camera with a telescopic lens. I took several close-up pics of the switch joints in 3D. Later, I'll import those into my PC and post them in both 2D and 3D.

This is the smoking gun! If there's monorail footing where it's been claimed, then they would have required switches for such a spur. One switch would be needed by UoE and another by TT. Those pylons are where switch provisions exist, and what I took pics of using my telescopic 3D camera. There may be two other switch provisions on the other side of FW as well.

So, take that you skeptics! I do believe apologies are in order for all the grief...

I think you need to first share the photos, along with documentation and literature that would describe these "switch joints" you're describing.

Before I made that statement, I researched the parts for monorail switches and compared it to the pics I took and everything matched. I'm going to get something to eat. Then, I'll go home and import the pics and post them, along with those I researched to compare.

With all the negative talk on this board about the My Magic fiasco, after seeing it actually working its magic, I'm kinda proud that our Disney parks has something the others don't!

Haha... DLR, you may have the better Space Mountain, but we have Magic Bands and you don't so take that!

Well, they will be getting the bands, but we won't be getting their Space Mountain.

I like your enthusiasm, and I really am glad that you had such an upbeat vacation. Hearing about some of the positives in the parks is always encouraging. Thank you for sharing your observations with us. I'm enjoying your trip report.

However, I'd like to pass along my comments on something @marni1971 mentioned. I also believe that there are a number of things that could be improved in all the parks. And, I think one of the primary reasons for some fans' frustration stems from the amount of money spent to develop and implement these Magic Bands. (I thought the plastic cards for park entry and FP worked fine for years.)

Speaking for myself only here, I am disappointed that all this Magic Band money did not go back into improving exisiting attractions; and certainly, some of it could have been targeted for new, wonderful ones. I know you like the bands, Peter, and I respect your opinion; I just would have preferred that all the money put into them was spent on other projects, more dear to my heart.

Great trip report, I really liked the detailed facts of your observations from all the different rides. It gives me a different perspective of the rides and something I can focus on when I return to a Disney park.

Hi, all! I'm back at WDW for Rock Your Disney Side. It's after 1 am and just got in the MK. I'm here by myself this time because I had an extra ticket to spend!

Sorry I haven't been online for the past two weeks. I needed a Disney break and to catch up with my other life. I hope you understand. I'll answer all back messages but not tonight.

Anyone else from here at the MK now?
