Why did they go through all that trouble to redo the queue if there not redoing the ride? The queue is more impressive then the ride

It's a classic. Don't ruin the ride.

Paris was an upgraded version of WDW.What did they do to those?
yes. My kid begs to play on the ipad but can be just as happy with a roll of tape, paper and kid scissors. The ride could use a refurbishment -- not a big change, but a good "spiff up." Fresh paint, new lighting, top-of-the-line speakers, quieter (less squeaky/creaky) movement of ships along the track.
I respectfully disagree with those who suggest that legacy attractions should be removed or significantly revamped in favor of things that will impress small children. There is a value on nostalgia, and many adults (myself included) would find the quality of a Disney visit significantly diminished if they couldn't revisit attractions they loved as a child. I also think that the iPad generation isn't as difficult to impress as one may think. My children are as tech-savvy as anyone in their age group, yet they get as big a kick out of the Enchanted Tiki Room as they do out of Soarin', Splash Mountain or Toy Story Midway Mania. I know they would have loved the original Imagination, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Snow White, and many other legacy attractions that have already gone the way of the buffalo.
