Why cant they bring some of the aspects of peter pans flight from Shanghai to disney world? It seems like the shanghai version has a very similar layout.....its just plussed. So why cant they just plus the wdw version.

Shanghai Pan is lovely. But its more techy feel suits Shanghai DL.

In the MK, there is also a subconscious unity between the mechanical classic dark rides, the look of FL, and the very concept of FL itself.

I disagree. Old and dilapidating is old and dilapidating.... And peter pan is both of those, plus underwhelming with a sense of "That's it?"

Unlike Haunted Mansion, Pirates, and other classics.

Well HM would be an example of a MK ride that lost some charm through video effects. The bride / attic was better before. As were the paintings.

Pan is underwhelming only when you expect a ten minute extravaganza E-ticket.Otherwise it's a superb classic dark ride. :)
But old and dilapidated it is, yes. It could use some TLC.

Nah. They enhanced Disneyland's Peter Pan with video screens and it is still equally "charming."

Actually... It's underwhelming when I wait more than 30 minutes for any ride that is less than 3 minutes long. lol

One cannot put "otherwise, it's--" and "a superb ride" in the same phrase.

Alice in Wonderland is a superb classic dark ride. Mr. Toad is, as well.
But old and dilapidated it is, yes. It could use some TLC.
I'm glad we reach an agreement at least somewhere on the scale of debate for this.

Their attitude is why bother. It has obscene wait times so no point in throwing money at it. And if it gets to the point it's so run down and no one cares anymore, just replace it with the flavor of the day.
This is true about WDW in general. Why spend money on anything when the parks are busting at the seems.

I had no idea Shanghai's version was so amazing. Just watched a POV ride through. One thing I will say is, it is amazing how much smoother and faster Orlando loads and unloads guests compared to the original in Disneyland. Even then the wait times are insane.

With Mr toad and snow white being gone, I feel they are leaning into the nostalgia with this one, and knowing thats one of the reasons its beloved. Changing it just costs money with no ROI.
