Peter Pan Queue

we are finally getting the long awaited Peter Pan queue expansion.

Seriously? There are people who are excited about a queue expansion? ... So people are more excited about a queue path being extended rather than the ride itself having a full refurb and expansion. This is bemusing.

When I visited MK last weekend I noticed the IASW façade under tarps. I doubt the medieval setting will be gone any time soon, but it just got me thinking...

Anyway, I hope there's a PPF update in the near future. The queue and the ride itself definitely needs some revamping.

It would also be awesome if they increased capacity and eliminated Fastpass from the attraction.

It was under tarps when we were there two weeks ago as well. Wouldn't that be an amazing surprise.

I'd love to see IASW move to EPCOT where it makes more sense...

No...It Doesn't

We Don't need two boat rides with the same idea *Cough* Gran Fiesta Tour *Cough*

This is a notice of commencement meaning work will likely begin any day now. It has no expiration date so it will take less then a year.

Thanks for the reply. Can't say I'm happy to hear that both IASW and PP will be behind tarps on our upcoming visit. What a drag. This in addition to the hub being torn up and behind walls and TTA and Astro Orbiter being behind walls as well. I am happy things are being taken care of. It's all long overdue. But after Fantasyland being torn up for years, I was really hoping it wouldn't look like a construction site this time. Really second guessing the decision to go this summer. :(

I wish they would shut down the whole thing for a major overhaul. Peter Pan's Flight is downright embarrassing to ride. I feel sorry for anyone that endures that hot, horrid, hour long queue.
I personally love the ride... but I never wait for that ride. So many trips have passed and I don't go on it unless I have a FP. No way I'm waiting and hour and a half in a boring queue to ride a two-three minute ride. I love the ride, don't get me wrong. I just think some painting could be done here and there in the ride itself. Also, it's one of the only rides in WDW that if the ride breaks down, they have to call the fire department to get guests off of the ride. I feel like they should do something about that.

Despite the tarps, you are going to have a great time regardless! Try not to focus on all of that. I used to hate all of the tarps on Main Street when they were adding new shops, or rather just expanding or changing out shops or facade... but they really do their best to keep in the scenery, as you know. Do not regret an amazing trip. :)

Not really. Epcot already is 'It's a Small World' but on foot. Having World Showcase makes a boat ride that goes around the world redundant and unnecessary.

Well you're just a ball of kindness aren't ya

I have been surprised how in the last few years with all the construction going on how it really never affected how things look, Disney does a good job with the tarps not to let things look underconstruction
