Peter Pan Queue

Instead of 7 Dwarfs we should have gotten a whole new double tracked Peter Pan updated with 21st Century technology, ending with a gift shop and a fabulous Neverland play area...like Adventure Isle in Disneyland Paris...Complete with full sized Pirate ship...and the Tinkerbelle meet and Greet. Then they would have an empty building where Peter Pan was for another attraction...Seems like everyone knows that PP is about the most popular attraction in Fantasyland...I would have rather had a new improved PP instead of the Double Dumbo...

I'd really like to see this moved there as well. Keep the ride building layout(waterway) as is at the MK and turn that into a Frozen ride.

I'm a big fan of the "move IASW to Epcot" (could really use another ride there and it fits perfectly with the WS theme) and "use the IASW building for a new ride". Personally, I'd like to see a boat ride based on Tangled, which would actually make the neighboring bathrooms fit in far better -- and Tangled fits in great for a boat ride given hoe the pivotal scene was on the water with the lanterns.

Not that I'd complain if it was given a Frozen theme instead, just feel that Tangled is a better fit. I'd rather see a whole big Frozen/snow/winter mini-land done on the north side of the FL inside the berm (on the other side of the access road).

I don't suppose there's any chance that this work on Peter Pan is for something other than the queue or facade, is there? If nothing else, I don't get why they wouldn't put in Pixie Hollow there (instead of on Town Square) since it would be a perfect fit next to Pan and be better thematically in FL. Of course, the former restrooms might not have enough space, I guess.

I am just glad they got the fairies out of Adventureland... They should move PhilharMagic to Town Square and use the space for a new attraction...Between that space and the old restroom space there should be enough room for a nicely expanded Queue and maybe enhancements to the PP ride.

I know this is off topic, but is it true that the walls that separate the show scenes in Peter Pan's Flight are just curtains?

It could work well with the m&g for Mickey. I think this is a great idea!! It is a shame I get so excited on this site because of the cool things I read that will most likely never happen.

Yes, Philharmagic, as much as I love it, doesn't necessarily fit in FL -- or at least is no worse a fit in Town Square. And since it is the Town Square Theater and Mickey has his M&G there, it would have made a lot of sense to put Philharmagic there. I don't understand why they didn't do that and use the Philharmagic theater for the princess M&G and then they could have kept SWSA as a ride (changing the theme to a different movie if they didn't want to have the same IP at the 7DMT).

At a minimum, I hope someone thinks about doing this in the future. Move Philharmagic to Mainn Street and put a new dark ride there.

Seriously? There are people who are excited about a queue expansion? ... So people are more excited about a queue path being extended rather than the ride itself having a full refurb and expansion. This is bemusing.

Well, to be fair, this thread isn't moving at the same massive pace as say the "Disney buys Star Wars" thread, or for that matter, even the "7 Dwarfs Mine Train Soft-Opening Watch" thread. So, consider it a VERY mild excitement.
Any upgrade to the current horrendous queue would be an improvement. So, on the order of things they could announce about PPF that would create excitement, from greatest to least:
1) Gut the existing attraction to rebuild a new ultra-E-ticket where they figure out a way for you to ACTUALLY fly.
2) Update the entire ride portion to modern day high tech AA standards and increase the capacity to cut down the wait-time
3) Update the entire ride portion to modern day high tech AA standards, leave capacity as is
4) Update the queue to at least improve the guest experience while in the crazy long line
5) Announce that they are updating the attraction, only to put new tin-foil in the volcano and give it a proper dusting
6) Announce they are demolishing it to put a new set of FP+ kiosks

So, mild excitement seems to be in order.

It's like if someone gives you a nice sweater for a gift. It's nice, it'll be very helpful when it's cold out and you need it, but MAN, a PS4 would have been awesome.

Why should the existence of a c ticket dark ride that has 12 dolls that look kind of like small world dolls preclude them from putting an attraction where it is a more logical fit? That's the type of logic that thinks it's ok to put Frozen in Norway.

It's a Small World moves to World Showcase
Peter Pan get massive upgrade
Old It's a Small World becomes Frozen boat ride.

Or...
It's a Small World moves to World Showcase
Old Peter Pan building becomes Mary Poppins (with queue expansion)
Peter Pan moves to old IASW show building for E.T. sized E-ticket
Frozen E-ticket uses half of Speedway (Wreck-it Ralph or TRON can use the rest, but area beyond the berm)
B&TB trackless dark ride
Princess Fairytale Hall replaces tents in Storybook Circus
Barnstormer rethemed to Alice in Wonderland (Cheshire Cat or Caterpillar)
M&G replaced with Sleeping Beauty dark ride
Philharmagic moves to Town Square
Old building used for Mary Poppins ride

Of course that'd be New Fantasyland 2.0 :p

It's a Small World is a family-friendly people eater... toddlers, babies and preschoolers adore it. Everyone knows the song. It'd give EPCOT a new kid-friendly attraction without compromising the park's message. More importantly, it'd open up space for Peter Pan to get the grand dark ride he deserves, and Mary Poppins can receive one of her own as well. With the expansion pads Epcot has, IASW is a no-brainer as far as additions go.

Peter Pan and Pooh get updates with actual AA's. Philharmagic moves to Town Square Theater and the old building becomes a dark ride based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. A Sleeping Beauty dark ride replaces fairy tale hall with all princesses (except A&E) now meeting outside in their own little areas (Snow by the Mine Train, Rapunzel by her bathrooms and Aurora by her new ride). Finally a Frozen trackless E Ticket along with an A&E M&G replaces the circus tents with the circus theme now only being around Dumbo and Barnstormer (Casey jr. would be removed if space is needed). IASW stays where it is and gets a new facade along with Peter Pan. The Speedway also stays. I actually detailed my ideas for Frozen and Sleepy Hollow in the imagineering forum if you want to read them.

Way too late on the above ^^^

I though agree that they could easily move IASW into the Odyssey location and it would fit well thematically, give the park something to do, and open space in Fantasyland for more Disney Character Based IP that everyone loves so much in MK.

Careful guys, you'll get this thread moved into the Imagineering section! You know we're going to be lucky if they dust PPF and maybe update 1 or 2 animated figures in the attraction right?

Aside from keeping the Speedway, perfect! Way too much of a waste of space... go-karts don't go 8 mph :p Sugar Rush/Hero's Duty would provide a nice transition between Fantasy and Tomorrow.

Back to topic!! This is a little too Imagineer-like :DPeter Pan getting queue updates is a nice addition, but really should have been part of the whole New Fantasyland updates.

I'd love to see a Sleepy Hollow attractions somewhere, but if you are going to do that, you should put it in Liberty Square. I mean, it's tough enough to find a good fit for Liberty Square and Ichabod and pals would be a perfect fit, not the medieval europe of FL.
