it's true, we can't be certain but the thinking is the VGF soft refurb will come after the PVB soft refurb, potentially even using the same contractors so the soft refurb permit has not been applied for yet
- New Horizons Construction Services is the firm that took over and is finishing the SSR hard refurb and lined-up for this VGF permit
- Balfour Beatty Construction LLC is the firm that is permitted to work on the PVB soft refurb
- the PVB soft refurb permits were for only ~7 months, this one is for ~20 months
- the Disney Facility Asset Management (FAM) contact listed on the VGF permit is a more senior / mid-career person coming from a series of value / moderate room refurbishments (I haven't tracked it down but I believe it was the hard refurbs of Pop, ASM, etc.)
- the FAM contact for the PVB soft refurb is a more junior / early-career person
- DVD will likely be moving the current Big Pine Key Grand Floridian building over to the VGF parcel ID, this permit is filed under the VGF parcel ID that the building will move to once it is declared into VGF; this also is why the address is listed as VGF's address and not Big Pine Key's
also, they just amended the
VGF license for the additional 202 deluxe studios on 16 Jul, four days before this permit was filed so the timing makes sense that they're pushing all the paperwork at once
