Rumor Pecos Bills to be rethemed?

The Tiana Cinematic Universe is about to enter its next phase, so yes.

After the Tiana series, we will get a theatrical sequel to the Princess and the Frog and a Broadway show. Then we will get a live action Dr. Facillier origin movie, like Maleficent and Cruella. Then there is the Mama Odie spin-off series, a "Ray: The Early Years" prequel, and "The Princess and the Frog 1 and 1/2" that retells the first film's events from the perspective of Charlotte and Big Daddy.

Hey, you know you aren't supposed to repost anything from the recently-relaunched "Bob's Creative Corner" blog!

I never liked armchair imagineering because it always seems to be someone with no idea about construction, budget, engineering, logistics, etc. saying things like,

“Just move (attraction) to (location it would never fit into) and retheme (2nd attraction) to (completely unrelated IP) and add a (ride type) and a (restaurant)!”

These are the people who, from the comforts of internet anonymity, also tend to frequently question Disney/WDI’s creativity, intelligence, and ability.

All joking aside, I think the argument for retheming Pecos Bill is to ensure that Tiana's Bayou Adventure doesn't feel completely out of place in Frontierland.

Oh, I didn’t mean we shouldn’t discuss it! I just never liked the way some people talk about building and moving things around like it’s so easy and no big deal and everyone else is an idiot.

Yeah, but unlike Splash.. it's actually immediately adjacent and CONNECTED to the Frontierland fascades and spaces.

At least Splash is over the bridge and the entrance is on the far side away from the store fronts.

There are already distinct areas to Adventureland with the area around Carpets/Tiki Room very different than Caribbean Plaza. Adding a third area is not unreasonable and if PotC can literally be in New Orleans in DL, it can be adjacent here. You can literally take Caribbean cruises from NOLA.

Splash honestly would have been better in Adventureland than Frontierland and TBA is even more so out of place in Frontierland.

And I welcome new food types at MK.

Fixed it for you
This you?
why don't they just fix and expand what they have and enable and attract more guests to visit at the same time to increase their income rather than continue to complicate a WDW vacation and turn some away?

oh I know... because the idiots who make decisions like this don't have a freakin' clue of a day in the life of a normal park guest

100% it is

Want to opine where I’m wrong about them needing to expand, simplify a Disney vacation, and making (numerous) bad decisions over the years?
You claimed to have “fixed” my post where I said that some people here who often over-simplify and under-estimate how easy it would be to fix things at the park also like to question the intelligence of Disney/WDI.

Sorry if you felt attacked. I wasn’t talking about you in particular.

I didn’t feel attacked, I was just pointing out that many of us here have good ideas for the parks, sometimes better than the ones they make. We just don’t have the control to make those decisions so we voice our opinions, ideas, and frustrations here as a true Disney fan community

We all want Disney to grow, improve, and succeed even those like me that criticize at times

Right. And those ideas may well be “better.” But my point was that those ideas are rarely informed by all the realities of building and maintaining a theme park with limited resources, and other considerations.

Yeah, but we're not talking the Adventureland side of the structure here... that's Tortogua Tavern... this is Pecos Bills on the side facing the river and the rest of frontierland.

This area has always been a transition band.. using the corner and pathway on the far side as part of the transition to Adventureland. Much of the styling of Pecos bills is in that missionary/spanish style to easy that change over as you round the corner.

Note the roof of Peco and stucco of Peco's differs from the structures right next to it on the frontierland side... fitting more with Pirates.. yet still has this very wood rustic fence line and porches like frontierland. It's like a blend in itself to try to make that changeover.

The old 'outpost' building is actually working pretty much against it in terms of supporting that changeover... but I think because the hard cut isn't really supposed to be until the archway.

The issue here is you could make the entrance over by the outpost and the outpost itself more a nebuous transistion that is less 'frontierland' and maybe more bayou.. but you still have BTMRR as the thorn in your side.

They going to do something like "Tiana's Palace" in Disneyland with Pecos Bill? French Market is not as different as Pecos Bills is though.
