Owned? No, they are not owned by men, but like it or not, on average women and men really do have different character traits. And just because women on average will be different than men tend to be, doesn't make their particular qualities and traits any less "equal" or vital to the sustainability of the human race.
Humans have been successful so far, BECAUSE there are differences between men and women and both sides are important.
The more people try to force men and women to be exactly the same, or else they think they aren't being EQUAL, the more detrimental it will be to society.
More women choose to be nurses than males. Is that because men aren't being supported enough and encouraged enough to choose to go into that field? No. It's because the job of a nurse requires more of the traits that women tend to possess than males. Is that a blanket rule that applies to everyone? Nope, but it's still generally true.
People just need to deal with that and move on.
