I'm scared about new variants like escape variants, that makes delayed back to normal until Christmas. I hope the virus is not a threat anymore by July as we will get back to normal. Is escape variants will become reality?

It has little to do with COVID numbers and more to do with evaluating what they can cobble together at what price and can they get enough affordable staffing to execute it. Remember no CP and there is a major labor shortage in Florida.
I agree. I think right now liability and staffing are bigger deterrents than Covid itself for Disney getting back to their old ways.

CP’s were around 49 % of the work force. Most are wanting to stay on unemployment because they make more than working.

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.

According to the St Louis Federal Reserve data (FRED), 51.6% of 15-24 year olds were employed in Jan 2020, in April that dropped to 36.0%, it’s now (March) up to 49.1%. So yes, there’s some of that, but it’s not “most”.

@HauntedMansionFLA @homerdance Why the laughing face reaction? I’m not sure I made a joke? Surely you wouldn’t violate board policy by using a laugh emoji to say “I disagree with facts”

Are we still “currently” thinking the final call will be made for the seasonal events around July? Hopefully that same time frame we will hear about things that go boom in the night sky lol.

Technically, Disney can add events and change plans anytime they like. However, I suspect that they're waiting to see how things look and how much "normalcy" is beginning to return by the time we get into summer. My (totally uneducated) guess would be June or July for them to make a final call. And if they go ahead, maybe they wait until September to start them given the shorter lead time. But I could be totally off base.

This is just one man’s opinion...

June is going to be the great Disney “Big Bang”. The pandemic will finally be under control due to the mass vaccinations (see Israel) in the United States. I expect a fast and furious next phase. Announcements of fireworks, parties and much more will be coming.

As a point of reference, UNI has not said anything about this year's HHNs beyond a list of dates beginning in about 4 month's time (Sep 3) and saying what one of the houses will be.

Tickets in the past went on sale in June. We'll see what happens then.
